Anyone tried making secure offline cold wallets for their monero?

I've been looking at some guides and they require 3 USB sticks , installation of linux distros, etc ..

Seems like a bit of a hassle desu

It's absolute top tier autism to even bother with it. What's funny to me is that even airgapped machines that cold wallet autists are using are most likely "compromised" by Spectre unless they are truly ancient. I'm not that anything could ever happen due to Spectre's obscure nature on a fucking airgapped machine but you fucking KNOW if someone is paranoid enough to make an offline wallet they will be paranoid about it being accessed on a "compromised" machine.

Buy a $50 ThinkPad, buy new hdd, install Linux and only use it for the monero wallet? I feel like this is the way to go over ledgers or other meme physical wallets

ive got a ledger but they dont support monero yet

having a bunch of different devices for each coin is going to be a security issue in itself
