Your knowledge and experience are probably worth fuck all. Knowledge of most ""day traders"" here ends at comparing charts to textbook signals, and most of the time they can't even get that right.
I can tell you right off the bat if you aren't using algos to find signals for you, then using your own judgment to actually dial in, you aren't going to make it day trading. Your'e likely doing at-first-glance, first-approximation TA which will lose you money. If you aren't smart just hold.

real knowledge and experience is:

1. never expect to sell at the top
2. never expect to buy at the bottom
3. buy when shit is in the red
4. sell when shit is in the green
5. take 33% profits at next two major resistance points, ride the last 33%, break even if it dips back to entry point

i have days where i try to daytrade and it just doesn't work out and i lose a bit. then i have days where i get just what i want and manage to be patient for what i want.

it's mostly patience, which kind of sucks when trying to constantly watch charts but it's reality. learn to take some gains, especially in a market like this. play with less money for a while. eventually those numbers get bigger, but the game doesn't change

Good traders build them. Alternatively you can buy them as services but they will never show you the source code so who knows how effective they really are.

Just take the hallmarks of TA (real TA with a basis in probability theory and stochastic processes, not meme pattern matching) and turn them into programs. What defines a buy signal in TA? What defines a sell signal in TA? How can you quantitatively identify a buy or sell signal?
