>>6621317DYOR
Join us, brother.
>>6621360i bought 10k when i was in diversificationmode becaujse of all the memes on /biz/i have no fucking clueno CLUE AT ALLwhat this coin does or what it isi understand that meme man ist he creator and is abusive that's all
paid shills. Definitely not because of the token itself or the technology it intends to support.
>>6621317but anon, where do you think you are? Nothing of this is real. They shadowforked all of 4chan months, if not years ago. I don't remember.
it's the same thing as SS+GOMAD on /fit/
i do fucking lvoe thsi pasta>pragmatic, unpretentious logo>stoic-mentat ceo who emotionally neglects his investors using the principles of evolutionary psychology to select only for smart money>tens of thousands of dedicated investors who would fall on their swords in the name of a common cause that can only be arrived at via the frothing lucidity of mad genius>dashing and mysterious corporate insider who plays the system to enrich the little guy, a cyberpunk Robin Hood of sortsIs there a more Chad token than ChainLink?
I'd go all in if it didn't have a shitty logo
>>6621360TLDR.ETH allows you to do smartcontracts which is why it's worth $1000 but the contracts only allow ETH blockchain data.Example: When you a friend sends you $50 in ETH you can instantly send him $50 in REQ.LINK will expand smart contacts to use data outside of the ETH blockchain.Example: You send $50 ETH to Regal cinemas and instantly they send you a movie ticket.Basically LINK will allow businesses to use ETH smartcontracts.Whenever the LINK project finishes the value of LINK should go astronomical.
>>6622219Whoops meant to call>>6621406
>>6622219Wait.. is this true?My 120k LINK might actually wind up being worth something? I just bought as a meme at .30
>>6622361Christ
>>6622219>>6622304why would they use link instead of any number of alternatives tho
>>6622361No shit. Why do you think it has a religious following? It's not even a question of whether it's gonna go astronomical. It's more a question of when the project will finish.
>>6622361That is the entire premise of LINK. That's why everyone is getting fucking strapped in for the takeoff. The coin/team is in zero-hype mode while they get the test net, then main net online, then the potential of the coin is staggering.
>>6622440name an alternativeexactly
>>6622219nice summary but I should add its blockchain agnostic so in addition to ethereum it will work with bitcoin, hyperledger, stellar, etc
we all mised the moon missions and are very desperate for something and LINK is the thing that seems the closest to not being vaporwavet. every LINK holder and shill

>>6622661it's how almost every other coin is shilling their features. except they all rely on some centralization or external oracles. LINK changes everything by making all interblockchain shit decentralized and trustless.
>>6621873Nobody cares about your lunch money faggot, go invest in the fidget spinner logo instead you autist.

>>6622728KillYourselfFaggot
>>6622661REQ requires the offchain data system LINK is setting up to be used. It's called an oracle. That's why the the REQ white paper they say working with a Blockchain Oracle. LINK is the only project like this.I personally own zero REQ because in order for REQ to succeed LINK as to succeed, so there's no point.
>>6621431You are fully retarded if you think we're paid shills. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you've never read a white paper before.I want you to remember this moment at the end of the year.
Because smart contracts are the future and link is what will make them possible.
>>6622833Well the only real difference is that LINK is getting shadowforked but not too many people have picked up on that and will get dumped on.

>>6624607Man what are you doing? You know you're responding to a meme? Some random dude in the thread yesterday was asking why link wouldn't just get "shadowforked" so people on biz don't get rich, and everybody made fun of him and thus a meme was born.

Listen. Some of you might believe me but some not. All I got to say the date 1/23/18 will be huge OR a complete sell off for LINK. Dubai will be a big player next week. I've already said too much. I will come back update Friday. Who found the SWIFT document btw? I owe you 100 LINK.

I want to buy 0.5 worth of eth. Should I buy now or wait a little for ethereum price to increase and do it then?
It's fucking TWO GUYS, a WHITEPAPER and an ERC20 token.I made an ERC20 token in an hour last weekend just to see how easy it is.THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO CHAINLINK.Once it is built, it will be a glorified JSON parser. It's deeply tied to Etherum and it's not even clear that Eth will be the platform of the future, there are more advanced ones in the works with better features and a better developer experience (like NEO).You guys are deluded.
>>6624956I did the same thing. The way I see it, if 15 LINK is $15,000 at the end of the year, then I will have $100,000,000. In that case, $15,000 will be a small price to pay for a little bit more comfort and security.

>>6627353>not even doing a single minute of research
>>6627353Once upon a time a whitepaper was a technical document that explained the finer details of how tech product would function, the details of its target markets, etc, usually full of hard data to back up its assertions. They would often be peer reviewed, and would be written for engineers and professionals rather than consumers. In crypto, whitepaper can mean something close to that or a glorified sales pitch, or even a roadmap in essay form. Chainlink's is a lot closer to the former than the latter. FWIW I recommend you read the original bitcoin whitepaper to see a good example of what it should be so that you have a good context for appreciating the technical details and precision of chainlink's whitepaper as opposed to the schlock that's often put out as a whitepaper in this market.

1000 dollars per link
Nothing happens on 23rd January
My least conservative estimate would be $20-25.That would put it at a Mkt Cap on par with NEO (The reason for this benchmark is because I see it as having similar utility/potential) which would imply a 40x return. Unless there is more money being pumped into crypto overall, majority of the funds are going to stay in the large cap coins. I feel that the momentum isnt here yet and the NEETs on this board are doing everything they can to shill this. The relatively high supply of 350MM is also what compliments my $20-25 estimate which implies that we are already at a fairly high valuation at the $0.7-0.6 range. The project seems promising. The only people shilling it are external people unconnected with the operations. The core team has very limited social media presence which imo points to them being conservative.I definitely see uncertainty but I also see a good story/idea and I feel like the corporate governance checks and balances are in place.(Disclaimer - I own LINK and have been following this closely for a while now and as a professional equity analyst and not a trader, I believe that this is a good medium to long term hodl.)

>>6633567I dont think that's the point of his statement. He is saying that firms can use the block chain for certain processes but since current block chains dont support external data inputs, it is hard for it to gain feasibility/accessibility. Chain link as the name suggests is the link between these external data inputs and the block chain. Anon's example was also faulty. As a consumer you probably wouldnt use chain link directly. It is more appropriate for bigger institutions who want to integrate block chain smart contracts into their current operations.

>>6633567The point of Chainlink isn't to trade crypto for products; the point is for Chainlink to allow mainstream data to be used in the blockchain for smart contracts.Look up what smart contracts are.Basically Chainlink is a decentralized network of oracles.Oracles are what translate external data to blockchain-usable data, and they have existed for some time, so in that sense Chainlink is not unique.Where it is unique is in the decentralized network of oracles. In the past, people had to either write their own oracles (pretty easy) or use a centralized oracle service like Oraclize.Chainlink offers a free market network of oracles all competing over the same contracts. This not only means the prices to use oracles will be lower due to competition, but the quality will be more trustworthy not only due to competition but also due to the possibility of using multiple oracles for redundancy. And decentralization is not possible without incentive, so hence the token. And no, you can't use fiat or BTC or ETH or something as payment within the network.1) fiat isn't global and can't be used for the two kinds of staking CL offers2) nobody would want to stake something that depends on a million external factors that have nothing to do with the independent network in which they're operating

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to be a chainlink investor. The hints are extrenely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the banking system most of the hints will go over a typical newfags head. There’s also Sergies optimistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from satoshi nakamoto's literature, for instance. The investors understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this coin, to realise its not just brilliant- is can change peoplea LIVES. As a consequence people who dislike chainlink truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in sergies existential catchphrase “See you at SIBOS” which itself is a cryptic reference to the international banking conference. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as the chainlink development team's genius wit unfolds itself on their binance trading screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
