1. All the fundamentals that made me buy bitcoin in 2013 are gone. BTC has a real chance of being replaced by BCH.

2. price went parabolic and greater fool theory went into full effect. A useless asset being pumped by the lowest form of speculators.

3. The bubble chart is not a meme.

the thing to keep in mind about all this is patience, if you expect something to shoot up in price you buy it while its steady, if its in a rapid rise or fall you must be patient, wait and collect your money to buy during the next slow and steady period
once the rapid rise starts you stop buying and hold since you cannot predict the future and have no idea when its going to peak, buying at the peak is obviously bad
once it starts falling you sell, you will never sell at the peak you will always be on the downslope but you have to remember you aren't really losing anything if you were patient and bought during the stable period anyway

I’ve been hedging all month anticipating a dip like this. Im still down 60k, but coulda been much worse. It’s all a cycle.

I remember last summer, I had gone all in on eth in the spring at like 80-100 dollars. It had recently peaked at 400, and crashed down to the 120s. I thought it was over. Hated myself for not selling. Well, I wish I bought more at BOTH those levels now. It’s all relative. * good -- the price will start climbing along the magenta line
* neutral -- the price will stay between yellow and magenta lines (but that's just delaying the inevitable)
* bad -- the price will breach the yellow line and fall all the way down.

After the yellow line got breached I sold everything at 10% loss and I'm happy I did.
