It's going to keep hitting floors until everyone with a brain sells and a bunch of people are left holding bags and trading with eachother.

All the normies money is fleeing, which is basically 50% of the increase the BTC has enjoyed. The other 50% is chinese buyers, who are now selling. It's going to drop below 1000 USD easily, and then just hover there as people sell between eachother before it dies slowly worth nothing.

The whole market will tank, but in 8-9 months ETH and the other coins who plummit will start to rise slowly again before becoming the legit crypto currencies of the future

Considering these coins are DECENTRALIZED from Bitcoin, no, you're wrong. That's the whole point, Bitcoin is not supposed to reign as king. That is a flaw, not a feature of the market.

As soon as it goes away, the rest of the market will recover and speculation won't be as rampantly retarded as it has been. Bitcoin has to go away for the health of the crypto token market in general to be stable.

Its the backbone of the market and it doesn't work. Couple that with the fact that most projects are complete fucking vaporware then these falling prices aren't surprising.

Workable cryptos have lower caps and something like BCH gets politically attacked non-stop. Money wants to be liquid in the market. BTC doesn't allow this at all and there is too much FUD surrounding working products. I think we're going full 70-90% market wide correction as people don't trust anything other than bitcoin and bitcoin doesn't fucking work so they just won't bother with crypto all together.

And to think. A currency whose value is directly backed by deflationary market behavior wouldn't turn out to be the future of economics.

XMR is inflationary. There are plenty of good cryptos out there with different monetary policies than Bitcoin. The problem is bitcoin is suppose to a jumping off point for newfags and crypto, but bitcoin doesn't work. If bitcoin doesn't work than surely other cryptos don't work as well.

LOL. Based on what, hopes and wishes.

Even with an orderly exit, the trend is down. I'm calling 6k by this time next month, IF the exit is orderly.

Thing is...not gonna be an orderly exit. I'm watching the transactions, the wall of death is coming...

The problem with shitcoin is that there's no way out of the market other than circulating them. It's not like oil or real estate, where inevitably external forces will remove it from the market. And unless regulators step in with their jackboots on these pump and dump cycles could go on for years.

From the few historical precedents we have, we know that crypto bubbles of the size we've seen recently tend to bottom out somewhere in the neighborhood of 25% of ATH, meaning around $5000 for bitcoin this time around. That would be my guess at least. Then I think it will be followed by a bear market lasting at least two years where there might be dips even lower.

There are no historical precedents here, although a lot of the more desperate bag holders are trying to make believe there is. Nobody knows what's going to happen. The last year was not normal. It has all the signs of a massive bubble. Expecting another run up like the last year...well, that's pure speculation, and worse odds than Vegas, based on nothing more than hopes and dreams. Where are the buyers for this next run up? The average person on the street? Not happening. Everyone who wants to be in Bitcoin pretty much is, except for kids with $100 who think they can turn that into a million dollars in 6 months, because they're being pumped in forums like this.
IF and until you can get your money out easily, or use Bitcoin to pay major bills (not likely, not this decade), I don't see anything that could keep this from collapsing down to 2016 prices. The entire run up was based on speculation, and the run down is based on people not seeing a future. It's not currency, until it's converted to a currency, and doing that, and the issues with doing that, are what I see as it's main problem.
And, if a run starts, a serious run, there is NOTHING to stop it, other than the brokerages shutting down, and that doesn't inspire confidence in the general public when their money is at stake.
