Shill me on why tokens have value.

What purpose does holding a token serve?

In the stock market a share is equal to 1/??? of a company

Crypto'currencies ' make sense, tokens are literally just nothing.

Imagine ppaypal stocks.
You buy paypal dollars, and you have 1/??? of paypal company, since paypal can issue only $25 mil.

People pay money for them originally and they promise value from a company. Do you know how stocks work? It's like that except you can't spend your Walmart stock on tampons and you can spend most tokens.

Most tokens are speculation vehicles, and nothing more. But not all. Coins like COSS and Kucoin grant the holder a share of the company revenue (dividends). Some grant stake rewards of alternate coins, like POSW. (Ignoring 'mining' coins, of course).

Buying any coin that doesn't have dividends is too risky in my opinion.
