Bitcoin (along with every other crypto) is not fungible - in the future it is possible that governments or large institutions will refuse to accept "tainted" bitcoin that has passed through certain addresses or tumblers, meaning that certain bitcoin will be less valuable than other.

Fungibility is a feature of money which declares that any unit of the money is entirely indistinguishable from any other. Only with a mandatory private blockchain such as XMR is fungibility possible in a cryptocurrency, and this is the key feature that will make XMR the dominant blockchain.

At $6.7B, it is a steal. When people start to become aware of the importance of fungibility, demand will explode. Buy now before it's too late.

Monero scales worse than Bitcoin fag. You fags are overblowing muh coins are tied to criminals and are not fungible enough.

I like Monero, but it's impossible for it to get widespread use with the way it currently works.

But if Monero can find a solution to make it scale well then it will be huge.

>what is bulletproof?
XMR transactions actually provide utility unlike BTC. There's a reason to pay tx fees.

The only reason why large institutions would rather accept btc than monero is because it's on a public ledger you fucking retard

Monero is implementing Bulletproofs that will reduce transaction fees by 80%, and also an off-chain scaling solution

All it takes is for a few people to get their tainted withdrawals blacklisted by Coinbase or Shapeshift for people to realize.

Monero has far more functionality than Bitcoin Cash or Litecoin yet trades at a huge discount to them. It won't stay that way forever.

no it doesn't. it has uncapped block size so it will never run into the high transaction fee issue that bitcoin has.

there are a few scalability issues that come to mind. the main is blockchain size, due to the UTXO model that bitcoin uses, which doesn't allow for blockchain pruning (but they are possibly implementing side chains). the blockchain right now is 40GB, and a 1TB hard drive costs $45. storage is the cheapest thing in computing. the coin has been around since 2014, and 40GB in 4 years isn't bad.

the other issue is transaction size. they are usually >1KB, but they are being cut by 80% to be on par with bitcoin transaction sizes. this will really trim blockchain growth. it will also reduce network traffic for the nodes.

the worst part about bitcoin's scaling is the transaction fees from the capped block size. monero avoids this completely by having an uncapped block size, so the network won't get completely clogged up and backlogged. for this to happen, the bandwidth of transactions has to be so high that no nodes can keep up. now, with transaction sizes being cut by 80%, that's not an issue.

i will concede that monero doesn't scale as well as those DAG coins, but it's the best store of value coin right now. privacy is a tradeoff for scaling. they aim to be the offshore bank account of crypto. it's the ultimate rich people coin.

don't post in normies and pajeetland's premium godlike coins, they barely can afford their FUN share. If it doesn't have many 000000000 it's not interesting for these tards.

XMR will be at leat 10k within 6 months.

I agree wholeheartedly, OP.
This coin should be top 5 easily. The Dev team is absolutely fantastic.
However, ZEC roadmap is looking very good too, we have to watch out. Anyway, I hold both.
