I found this in an archive. The general consensus in the old thread would be that this is a shit list. Any recommendations? How can this be improved? Also, I think /biz/ once had a shortlived wikia, but i can't remember.

read the books and form your own opinion.

the intelligent investor/millionare next door are really all you need for basic finances though.

Are bogle books worth it?
Don't they just say buy low cost index funds?

basically. just read the boglehead wiki. im srs. that and the TII and TMND are the only things you really need. past that is if you want to get into daytrading and all that which is a pain in the ass.

The Intelligent Investor and The Millionaire Next Door. The Intelligent Investor is probably pretty good, haven't read through it completely myself. The Millionaire Next Door is a shitty book. It basically says don't spend all your money like a retard and keeps going on and on. Most of the books in OPs picture are garbage as is /biz/. If you really want to get richer or live a better life, leave /biz/ and get real advice somewhere else.

No, I refuse to believe it. Surely there are some financial geniusses lurking. Subtly guiding our every step.

Anyone can confirm how good the German translation of The Intelligent Investor is? On amazon there are some complains about it and I'm not sure if it's still worth reading. The translated version at least.

I meant a /biz/ curriculum more or less.

Would I fare better looking at my local college bookstore's business class book lists? And looking up old syllabi and doing the auto-didact thing?
