A "correction" in how coinmarketcap.com calculates global average removed the korean exchanges from their graph which made it look like XRP tanked. People, dumb as they are, saw this and panic sold without checking their own exchanges first.

1: Huge amount of hype that XRP was being added to Coinbase, Coinbase said they had not decided on which new coins are being added, people read this as Coinbase not adding coins, crash. (Coinbase is overvalued as fuck and both Ripple and Stellar have agreements with companies that make Coinbase look like nothing but people think Coinbase is the end all and be all)

2: XRP at the moment is mostly an Asia coin focusing on Korea and Japan, Coinmarket cap is where like 90% of people watch prices and they irresponsibly created a "fake" crash of Ripple and Stellar by pulling Korean exchanges without informing people which has caused a massive panic sell. (People have been arguing or not if CMC did this on purpose)

3: Correction based on unprecedented mooning. The coin went from 20c to near $4 in a month.

All 3 combined and you get a huge crash. Ripple still has major announcements at the end of the month so it could go back up or just stabilise.

Coinbase rumours saw the price rise to extreme highs which coinbase poured cold water on. (Coinbase is extremely overrated and Ripples and Stellar have deals with private organisations that make coinbase look like nothing, but perception is everything)

CMC being irresponsible dickheads crashing the price by removing Korean exchanges not making it clear to users what they had done while Ripple is at this moment mostly a Asian backed coin especially Korea and Japan.

Natural correction based extreme unprecedented growth reaching ATH.

XRP has major announcements coming apparently at the end of the month, but this has been a bad start to the year.

They could of made it more clear than a tweet, but i do agree with this action. With no room for arbitrage in Korean markets the figure was distorting the data for everyone outside of Korea, on a non-Korean site.

Look closely at the run up from .006 to .40.

2 separate drops of 50%+. The first resulted in 1 month of sideways trading. The second resulted in 7 months of sideways trading. I think we are going to see it move sideways for a month before moving up again.
