I feel like once lighting network is uploaded, we're gonna see a serious bull run, this coin is too widely adopted to die quietly, it's the lingua franca of all of cryptocurrency.
It's also the most powerful supercomputer in the world and probably has it's own AI timing the market to fuck everyone's shit up exactly when you least expect it.

TRX (TRON) killed Binance, not even joking.

A lot of people went all-in with TRX thinking it was the next XRP, and lost bigly.

Combine that with the Binance new accounts limitation, and a lot of normie/human trading volume has been sucked out of Binance.

Only the top ~10 coins by volume are worth trading for normies, the rest is dominated by bots.

We will not add future support for the Blockstream fork of bitcoin (“Bitcoin Legacy”), and will be deprecating it entirely at some future point in time to be determined. Developments have revealed it to be a dead end. At such a time, we will refer to Bitcoin Cash as Bitcoin only, but will make some effort to not break API calls by changing URLs of legacy automated systems.

BTC is gonna be around for a while yet but i think the smart money is realizing ETH and the like are the future.

I got all my shit tied up in ERC20 shit so I'm hoping once ETH stagnates a bit that those gains will run off into those branches.

Lightning network is already out, it's just time for market forces to start driving adoption in order for them to save on tx fees.

It'll probably be a fairly slow movement, as it's a significant new tech without much existing implementation reference. However if Bitcoin, and thus crypto as a whole, is going to succeed as the decentralized exchange of value and trustless data it's promised to be, then layer-2 protocols are going to be the essential stepping stone.

People who FUD bitcoin really have half the story. The world does not NEED another instant payment solution. It'd be nice if bitcoins could be easily transacted at present, buy right now it is not its USP.

People love bitcoin because it is a new and very real savings account. It is fulfilling the niche that ISAs once occupied, before banks cut their interest, too. ISAs were also very difficult to move your money out of, but nobody called them "broken".

Bitcoin constantly redeploys itself and evolves for the realities of the market. Right now, it's compound interest gains are its best feature. By the time enough people hodl it and shops accept it, there will be simple second tier payment options for it. Some will undoubtedly include frictionless conversion into altcoins.

The lightning network is currently being worked on by a start-up company with inexperienced developers with no involvement from Core. For a product that has such a large market capitalization, one would expect at least some industry veterans, particularly since the code needs to work with a huge amount of data. Furthermore, that's no news on the progress and no release date. It's starting look more like vaporware at this point.

>> No.6205909

>Furthermore, that's no news on the progress and no release date.

You're either being ignorant or malicious. It's already out, there's existing non-testnet nodes. It's an open protocols, you can use and develop for it now. It's just a matter of market needs for fee-less tx to drive it's adoption and further expansion.

Bitcoin itself doesn't have a 'release date'. It's not a fucking product.

Give me a source because I wasn't able find it anywhere.

If it's not implemented on the whole network, then it has no relevance.

>It's not a fucking product.

How is it not a product? If you buy it or sell it to somebody, then it's a product. It's been commercialized since day 1. Blockstream is further commercializing it through private chains like Liquid. The Lightning Network was worked developed by for-profit companies.
