are you talking about the c&h on the daily or weekly? Doesn't the handle still have to form? Won't that be days? The price will have to go up to about 11k sats to finish the cup and that's not going to happen without news.

Ya it feels like something weird is up. Blockfolio is fucking up the LINK price hard. Left my office with the price at $1.30 and went to my bed and Blockfolio was saying 79 cents. I had to rush back to my office to make sure it hadn't just completely dumped within a minute.

Thank christ its once again just Blockfolio being shit.

So it's essentially bots keeping the price in the same general area?

Also, how can you tell how much LINK is in each wall? I've never really paid attention to order books because i've been told they don't mean anything for crypto

>> No.6171768

>>6171427
Some general signs are:

>quantitative trading patterns (you see these on ETH/USD a lot, they looks like clean waves)
>price having a clean floor/ceiling despite not having a limit order that supports it (bot assisted market buys)
>someone immediately setting a limit order 1 satoshi below/above your own as soon as you place it

There are a lot more, but these are the ones i can remember off the top of my head.

>> No.6171786

>>6171654

Ya, or forcing it down so they can buy cheap link.

You either want to watch for it and trade alongside the whales, flipping tops for more LINK at the dip, or just hold through it. The trendline is still a strong uptrend so stressing over these small fluctuations isn't worth it. This game is wicked volatile, and LINK's movements aren't anything out of the norm.

>> No.6171949

>>6171768
Ah I see, so for example let's say LINK is at 1.30, and will not budge past 1.30, even though there are no walls preventing it from going higher, it's possible that bots are instantly selling to keep the price from going up.

>>6171786
So you're saying if there is a massive buy wall, but no sell wall, then buy. And if you see a massive sell wall, but not buy wall, then sell. Because that's the bots are essentially trying to do to accumulate more? Fuck man.

Also thanks for the responses guys

Kind of. Its not quite so simple. You want to be reading the charts and seeing where you're at with resistance/support levels. If you're reaching a top and are seeing sell walls and the trade history is mostly smaller buys, you may want to flip some and put in a buy order around whatever support level you think it'll fall to.

But don't ever 100% trust the orderbooks. They'll change drastically in an instant and people use them to lie and give false signals. You kind of have to use them as just one piece in the puzzle.

roger that. I don't plan on flipping LINK, as I know my boundaries and limits. I do hope to take this knowledge and apply it in the future to other coins however Will definitely be doing more research on the topic. Thank you.

>> No.6172432

>>6172286

No problem. There's a massive learning curve to get through so I like trying to put things in context.

I agree though, I like flipping coins but have been a bit nervous to flip LINK even though I've called most tops correctly. Most coins I'd be happy to take my profits and potentially miss a moon mission, but I'm strapped in for LINK. I'm not going to risk letting this gem get away from me.
