Bitcoin is like the first rocket that went to the moon. It was a technical marvel at the time, and it still is, and it showed what was possible, but it's just not practical. You wouldn't take that rocket for daily commute, and if you ever need to go to the moon again, there are newer rockets that are more evolved who will take you there a lot more effectively. People can keep patching up Bitcoin up and giving it new paint jobs all they want, it just can't keep up with the competition.

It is only if they managed to solve the fees and delay issues, and unless I'm mistaken, China's removal of incentive for miners will do nothing to help with that. To fix everything they would need to change so many aspects of the coin that it would end up still being Bitcoin in name only.
