/biz/ has been in the crypto game since the start. Shilling 5 dollar btc mined on their pIII processors, to the shit coin storm of coins long rebranded to big names you see today such as neo. It knows how to spot a winner. I saw the same thing play out for a year with Ethereum. It was too complicated to understand. Virtual machines, blockchain, what why how? No there is a new coin, the normies still have not caught on but has potential for network effects cross platform, crypto wide, with corporate uses. There is a tsunami coming when people realize that link is like owning a share of the internet in 1993. Except instead of owning a computer to take part, you need link. In the age of information its funny how nobody realizes that the blockchain that feeds the information will be the king.

For chainlink to reach $1000 per token, it would require an approximately ~$350B market cap. If the market keeps expanding at the rate it has been for the last couple years(exponentially), it’s not beyond expectation that it could reach that price within several years. Keep in mind, bitcoin with no applicable purpose as of right now being pumped by boomers recently is sitting pretty at $255B as of today, and peaked at $320B just last month. The money could be there- we’ll just have to see.

This is obviously going off of the assumption of adoption. Considering the team and their advisors, the POC that SmartContract is doing with Swift, and the fact that they have the first decentralized oracle network in production(movers), I think it’s stupid to try and compare link to the million shitcoins that are blatant copies of eth or btc with no applicable advantage over any other coin.

>> No.6113051

>>6112855
Not saying it’s going to die. Read again- I said although chainlink has more in circ, the fact is that link has a purpose for its existence rather than just establishing the standard of decentralized currency, of which btc is failing at being efficient at with a more and more centralized market. Btc could easily hit 500k just because of this, but in the same sense link could easily reach $1000 just because it has so much purpose and use. The gains for the latter are way bigger though obviously if you’ve been holding under $1 like a patrician.

>> No.6113148

>>6112871
Yeah, it's a pretty smart thing to do. I don't mind this if there's a final supply cap on it. The issue with fiat is that there IS NO limit.

This may cause the gains to slow down a bit, but it will make actual business and usage/adoption easier, so it's a small price to pay - it'll pay for itself tenfold in the long run.

Chainlink has been in production in different versions for the past 3 years. Your other point still stands, however the fact is that if the big wigs can save money or simply make the system more efficient in order to make more money, they’ll take it. A network that is faster and with less points of failure is one im willing to bet will fill one if not both of those roles.
