I run a gpu mining rig with 6 1080ti’s. It’ll do around 60 bucks a day which I normally just toss into alt coins. I wouldn’t spend the money on one until you have made a decent amount investing though since the ROI sucks.

Wait until you have like 100k to drop on a mining rig, then you will see some gains.

there are crytpto calculators that can tell you how much you'll make. just use those to decide if it's worth it. I'm a poorfag and I plan on building a new PC if I make enough off crypto, but I mostly only want to do it because I want a better computer for gaming.

If you have a gpu yeah. Or if you can drop 100k on a mining farm. If youre thinking of buying a new gpu to mine with I wouldn't bother, but if you have a mid- to high-end card already, may as well mine some low mcap shit thats suited to your gpu. I mine about 3 ELLA a day with a 290x, so like $4.50 a day at current rates. And presumably it will at least 10x in value in coming months.

I began operating a small farm in the past year consisting of a handful of ASIC machines and a 6x 1080 TI rig for fun. Currently brings in a bit over $120 in profit every day and I invest the earnings into alts like >>6023794

My buddy started mining ~2013 and I thought the guy was crazy after believing all the FUD surrounding mining and how "unprofitable" it was. Meanwhile he mined 50+ BTC for ~$10,000 and is now operating a mid-size farm with industrial power pulling in six figures annual.

I might add that there's been rumors circulating that China will crack down on unregulated mining. Perhaps that will open the door to a better future outlook, since most of the industrial level mining is highly centralized in China.

I have a 0 initial investment in crypto and just used my mining profits as my starting point. Other than being up infinity percent, I'm nearing the point where mining doesn't make sense because it's so unprofitable compared to trading.

Would I make money mining that with a gtx 970? Didn't think you could make money of mining with an old graphics card.

All interesting answers so far, thank you guys.

If you have something to share about mining, please do, I'm thinking about doing that in the future and I'm not quite sure about it yet.
