So I made $300,000 in crypto this past year (2017) (and cashed most out) from a few thousand, and I'm 22.

When the fuck is the housing market going to be good for me to buy in so I can dump this extra money into real estate and forget about it. I'm actually afraid to buy real estate simply because there's no liquidity, but I'm comfortable holding ridiculous amounts of crypto for some reason.

Help a real estate newfag out please.

Double that to 600k. Going into RE now is a mistake. You can get hundreds of thousands still in crypto.

Honestly if you're sick of coins but like trading go into FOREX trading. It's quite similar but way more serious and less memes. You can get more stable, and predictable gains from forex.

Other than that, buy a rental property with 2+ units. Duplex, quadplex, or something similar in a growing city and hire a property manager to manage it. Rent prices rarely dive. Property value does regularly. Or, you can try to go baller and take out a loan on a development property like a small apartment complex, or dual purpose unit, and use the 300k as star up capital. Find other crypto fags to invest in your development project and win. You would never have to worry about money again.

Once you get 4 million in capital you can realistically tie your funds up into high APY CD's, of up to 2.5% with no velocity limit, and make $100,000 a year, for forever, by doing nothing other than letting a bank trade with your money.

I see but I'm afraid of margin, basically.
I've made good gains this year on KRW against USD though.

I will look into rental properties though. A problem is that I might be living in South Korea instead of the US soon.

National average for Cost Per Unit of an apartment building is $75,000. Build a quad plx and rent out all rooms. If you did that in somewhere like Seattle you would get about $2,100 a month per unit x 4. Your initial 300,000 investment is paid off in less than 10 years, conservatively, and you now have $8400 a month income - expenses. This rate will increase by about 10% per year if you raise rents annually.

Have fun.

Even better. It's cheaper to live out there. No need to live near where you buy. Absentee landlord FTW. Just higher a good PMC and enjoy your life.

If you don't already own a house, don't look it as an investment
Your first home is something you need, because you need somewhere to live.
Everyone else also needs somewhere to live

Just buy a place, and be comfortable.
