yeah I found out about bitcoin in 2012 and thought all assets followed a random walk (they do in the short term but many assets appreciate exponentially in the long term) so I didn't buy. my dad almost bought from mt gox but then it got hacked and he was like this is a stupid thing. I put in $150k of my inheritance to just barely become an octopus. I definitely shouldn't complain but damn I feel dumb. Oh man, even worse is the guy who works on my house (who is always broke). He bought 300 bitcoin for $1 each and then sold them at $100 each. he said it's the biggest regret of his life. Idk, maybe I'll make money doing something else and buy more.
