I feel kind of weird. Some of you non-USA bros might not be aware of this but the crypto industry essentially bought the entire election results.

Sherrod Brown was an Ohio senator for 18 fucking YEARS, crushing his opponents 3 elections straight.

In 2024, he lost his seat. Why? Sherrod Brown was an active anti-crypto voice, and in 2024 there were $32 million in smear campaigns against him funded by the crypto industry. These campaigns were brilliantly executed. They never even mentioned crypto. They were run through SPACs so the average person would never make the connection. They simply shit all over Sherrod to make him look bad and make the average person dislike him. And it worked.

Many such cases. The crypto industry essentially bought out the house and senate majority this election season. Most likely, that funding affected the outcome of the presidential election as well.

I can say anecdotally I have pretty liberal views, and I despise Trump is a human. I voted Biden in 2020. In 2024, I voted Trump. Why? I have become a single issue voter, and Trump was in my personal best interests despite likely being bad for most of the country -- specifically lower income people. I make $200k a year and have over $1M in assets. Trump will make me much richer. Kamala was clearly not a candidate for someone who has so much personal stake in crypto. I am likely not alone.

Do crypto bros have too much power? We literally just determined the fate of the most powerful country in the world. There is no doubt in my mind the US elections were decided based almost solely off of crypto wealth.

It's a weird solace to realize that while the country is fucked, I'll likely do okay for myself through this.
I think I'm going to have to go volunteer at a puppy shelter or some shit to feel better about all of this.
Anyway, to further make your case, here's a British man sarcasplaining how crypto bought the election: https://youtu.be/kpZvC_5leDY

You're deluded to think crypto decided the election when less than 10% of americans even own it, and a much smaller percentage would vote solely based on that. It did help though.

Yes. Elon is one to name a few. He has money and a big stage to influence people and win the election.

Yes, you can read all the facts pretty concisely from several news outlets who were trying to expose it.

That's what I'm saying, anon. Americans don't decide elections, money does. Did you not even read what I wrote? This isn't my opinion, these are objective truths. Crypto lobbying bought the elections. Read what I wrote. Crypto wasn't even mentioned in the campaigns, they geared it exactly to the people you're talking about - the 90% who don't own it and would never vote on it - and succeeded. Why am I even writing this, you probably won't read this either.

I think Elon is just an attention whore, not sure he cares about crypto at all frankly.

Yea it's called the real world. You people literally don't fucking read, you probably consume explicitly from social media. Watch this anon's video, then

Again, this isn't my opinion. This is objective fact. Crypto lobbying bought the senate and house majority. People calling me "delusional" are just low IQs with little awareness of the reality of our political sphere. I'm not here to debate whether or not this happened, that would be retarded because that's like debating if there is water on planet Earth. The question is, is the amount of power crypto has now dangerous?
