I hate to admit it, but I only have 2.6 BCH, I am broke atm.

>> No.59091221

Pretty obvious it's not going anywhere and the crypto as a p2p cash narrative is dead. Sadly. The only alts I see value in these days are ZEC and XMR (and my preference is for ZEC, as XMR-tards are really gay).

>> No.59091364

>>59091220
Go long on chain with those 2.6. I almost did it a few days ago. Should have done it. BCH has nice things now

>>59091221
It's up 5x from it's bottom tho
> P2P cash is dead
For ultraherd normies maybe
> Zec
It's 100x as dead as monero. I use monero quite frequently. No one wants Zec.

>> No.59091455

>>59091364
Yeah, and I thought about buying that bottom. It will get pulled up like all alts do when BTC rises, so this is unsurprising. But It's still trending down overall.

There's just no reason for it to exist. There's other coins with cheap and fast txs. It's only around because it's a fork, but that's a pretty weak leg to stand on. I like BCH and lost a lot of money during the original fork, but at this point I just don't see it performing well, long term.

>ZEC
Yes, it's market cap and tx volume is lower than XMR. But I think it's a much better project from a purely technical perspective. Having both transparent and anonymous addresses is huge. It basically a DEX between a BTC-like coin and an XMR-like coin, in one coin.

XMR on the other hand is getting delisted left and right. If privacy coins ever get their proper run in the sun, the coin that big money is going to endorse will be ZEC.

I used BCH a lot the past few years. very very a lot.

> Yes, it's market cap and tx volume is lower than XMR. But I think it's a much better project from a purely technical perspective
they are going for proof of stake and there's a dev-tax. it's gigashit. why do you think no one in the privacy space is interested in it?

> xmr is getting delisted
because it actually works and goverments can't trace it.

>I used BCH a lot the past few years. very very a lot.
Ok? What's your point? I use it occasionally too, along with ZEC. Doesn't mean it's not gonna continue to trend down. People use coins they like, my friend uses DOGE for example.

>they are going for proof of stake and there's a dev-tax. it's gigashit. why do you think no one in the privacy space is interested in it?
Potentially PoS, and I'll jump ship if that's really going to be implemented. Dev-tax is voted on by the community. It's a technically superior coin, not gigashit.

>XMR
ZEC is untraceable as well, moreso than XMR actually, but remains listed because it is _able_ to comply with regulations, due to having optional transparency. XMR is unable to do this, and is getting delisted due to it. This puts ZEC in a much more attractive position as an investment, imo.

it's gigashit.

its ok just go be with the Number-go-up herd. my portfolio is 80pct bitcoin core (BTC). I don't buy that coin anymore. but the ponzinomics are great. I collect BCH and XMR.

> doge
I will buy doge at 100 sats if it ever gets there.

>it's gigashit.
No, it's not. It's theoretically (i.e, mathematically) superior privacy to XMR.

>its ok just go be with the Number-go-up herd.
You mean the money making herd? Yeah, I'm here to make money. Are you not? I agree BCH is fundamentally better than BTC, in both tech and ideals. But the future of it much less certain, and the likelihood it continues to trend toward $0 much greater.

>No, it's not. It's theoretically (i.e, mathematically) superior privacy to XMR.
okay okay it's not gigashit and i wish zec was a winner. but it's not. I bought it a few times and had to sell cause all it does is tank. then I wanted to long term hold a p2p bag but they don't even have a good wallet. that's when i gave up. also fuck a dev/block ttax and fuck going proof of stake. if either happens i'ts trash.

> You mean the money making herd? Yeah, I'm here to make money. Are you not? I agree BCH is fundamentally better than BTC, in both tech and ideals. But the future of it much less certain, and the likelihood it continues to trend toward $0 much greater.
yes I'm also here to make more gains. that's why I am still 80pct into BTC. but I'm slowly going out of it. my estimate is it will have the best NGU-ponzinomics for another decade maybe.

>and the likelihood it continues to trend toward $0 much greater.
idk you really have to cut out the first 2 to 3 years of price action as that was the manipulation start. the chart looks a lot less bad if you don't count the market entry (during gigabull)

ideally I'm actually here for real freedom. you know. peer2peer cash electronic system. the original vision. and I will always be aligned with that and slowly work towards that. but yes. I do hold majority BTC-NGU bags.

To be clear I've never purchased it. I meant to recently when it was $20, but missed the crash to $17-18 (it was July 4th and I was occupied). I think they got a new wallet recently, and yeah I know the dev-tax is pretty gay, I wish they'd vote it out. My biggest concern with the coin is the management, they've just ruined everything the entire time. If the team had been anonymous from the start it would've been a top coin imo. But yeah to be clear I don't hold any and never have.

Fair point about the entry to market price action. Anyway I'll stop shitting up the thread

Protocol-layer privacy is the gold standard, genius, application-layer (optional) privacy is a joke.

>XMR on the other hand is getting delisted left and right
So? That's just a testament to its efficacy, you can't buy that kind of street cred. Conversely, every time ZEC doesn't also get delisted it just reinforces the perception that it glows.

>If privacy coins ever get their proper run in the sun,
Zero chance, governments will never tolerate anything that can be credibly used to bypass capital controls and sanctions

>the coin that big money is going to endorse will be ZEC.

>ZEC is untraceable as well, moreso than XMR actually
Considering there are only about 400 shielded TXs per day and that ZEC leaks the sender's IP address by default, not really.

In any case, ring signatures are being phased out next year so any theoretical advantage ZEC still has will evaporate accordingly.

>_able_ to comply with regulations
Do you numbskulls not understand how utterly repulsive compliance cuckoldry is to the average crypto-anarchist/cypherpunk/agorist?

>XMR is unable to do this, and is getting delisted due to it.
As mentioned, you can't buy that kind of street cred, the more the govt tries to supress XMR the greater the certainty that it actually works as advertised. And vice versa.

>This puts ZEC in a much more attractive position as an investment, imo.
Crypto is a shitty investment due to the ROI model being mathematically identical to a ponzi scheme. Keep dreaming.

you shouldn't look at the market entry of this coin. it was turbulent times during the last 6 months of the bullrun full of manipulation and a big war. you should leave out the first 2 years or so. (market entry). the chart actually looks really good if you remove the first 2 years or so.
