It means nothing if you hold it. Tokenization is basically another word for derivative. You beat it by not having any counter party risk.

The whole world is moving in this direction anyway and is basically what BRICS is doing where every country has a basket of assets (gold/fuel/food/national currency) that are then measured in a BRICS Unit. There will be percentage limits on what can be in these asset baskets to make sure no nation is scamming or taking unnecessary risks by only putting one commodity in their basket.

What I find fascinating about BlackRock and Citadel is that they're effectively moving business from New York to Texas. Gonna be interesting to see how fucked up New York becomes when the big boys leave, might become a modern Detroit.

>no gold backed currency in the world currently?
Can anyone explain why this hasn't been done yet on the private side? I understand why fiat is preferred by nations, but the private side of markets?

inb4 bitcoin, because bitcoin isn't that. Why haven't true gold or commodity backed crypto projects really taken off? It seems like, if people are going to push crypto, like a gold-backed token would be a reasonable thing for them to stand behind. Why is it just BTC with any real "value" out there?

Also, I already believe if you can't hold it, you don't own it, I'm just wondering why an electronic version of a gold backed fiat hasn't yet been dominating in the same way crypto and stocks/bonds have been. I understand BRICS is commodity based, sort of, but a little confused why block-chain based gold coin hasn't been more supported/developed.

Im honestly not sure. My main question is about Gold purity in the future. Should the average joe gold buyer buy the highest purity coins/bars available or stick to the old method of buying your local government coins? If gold is revalued to a much higher price and or the price keeps mooning, is it better to have 24kt coins or 22kt. Will higher purity coins be more desired as gold goes higher and higher? Meaning maples and britts will have more value than 22 karat sovereigns and eagles in the future? Tax implications might be easier on 24kt bullion coins also.

There wont be any shade, they'll look the same tint as a Gold Kruger, probably the reason why they went with the rose gold finish as 22kt has more of a copper look, which also suggests to me the reason why they are going back to the 22kt look as they dont want british people buying gold anymore.

You have to take into account you'll be dealing with normie npc's who have been brainwashed for the last century to stay away from metals and that in a trade/barter system if you are buying something off them it will be easier to tell them that you have a pure gold bar/coin instead of having to explain 22kt to them and how its 91.6% gold and how much gold is actually in that bar/coin which could make them unsure or nervous about doing trade with you.

Purity is always better.

The problem is that a gold-backed currency takes away the government power to create money. No government wants to give up that power. But in order to have a single currency for the coalition, they MUST have a limit on the printing presses of the individual nations. And the BRICS don't trust each other. So for now they are trading in their own currencies which float in value against each other. That is not going to replace the dollar. If they really want to replace the dollar, they must either adopt a gold-backed currency or submit to a central authority that controls the issue of a joint fiat currency like the Euro. Submitting to a central authority is going to be nearly impossible for them politically. So it will either be gold or nothing.

It has nothing to do with density tho. It's because of the patterns of their atomic structure. Each metal have a precise atomic lattice of positive ions surrounded by a cloud of delocalised negative ions. When you ping the coin, the energy from the shock diffuse into the lattice and make the ions vibrate on a certain frequency.

Not so. Let's say Zimbabwe decides to back its dollar with gold. It looks at the current exchange rate with the US dollar, and the price of gold, and the number of Zimdollars in circulation, and it sets the rate. For example, one zimdollar is redeemable for one milligram of gold. Nobody can come swooping in and exchange US dollars for zimdollars and redeem for gold at a bargain rate because it is already adjusted to the international price of gold and nobody in ZIm will trade their dollars for less. Of course if they print paper zimdollars without gold to back them, then the system breaks - like Bretton Woods in 1973. But if they stick to the standard and they have some goods or services to trade so they don't run a massive trade deficit, they will be fine.

Lots of countries have had gold and silver money without needing the whole world to have gold or silver standards.

fml, i wrote a fucking essay explaining you how everything you said would be disproved by the reality of modern digitalized (((economics))) and why it can't work, and i managed to close the page and everything's gone.
Now i'm too lazy to do it all again, so you'll have to trust me on this one : it can't work that way (for now).
:3

Maybe tomorrow if i gather the courage i'll rewrite my essay, because this is an interesting topic we all should feel involved into, and brainstorming around the current flaws of the fiat system to bring back a sound money system seems fun.

I've earned mostly around 40k$ a year past 14 years. Done some investing during all this time. I've mostly had 0 housing costs, average monthly living expenses for me before the kids is maybe 700USD. My wife has worked before the kids arrived, making 85k during a few years. All figures are net btw. She's mostly had 0 housing costs. Actually I'd say I've mostly had 0 living costs all my life. I've done stuff I wanted still, it's just that I don't have any expensive hobbies and I'm immune to consumerism. I've chosen living on the street or in a trailer over wasting money. I've lived in 10 countries and the PMs I own was bought during a short period right at the start om Covid in 2020. I only buy things cash and the loan I have of 20k USD was taken on the house just for me to explore how to take loans (and because the interest is lower than inflation it makes me money). That being said I would have been multiple times richer if I had maxed out loans right after Uni but maybe it would have turned me into a consumer. To this day I still can't feel comfortable thinking about taking a loan of a large size.

With wings that spread
she stands so tall
A beacon shining,

In every curve,

Hodgkin's Disease back in 2021. I've been in remission for the last two years but I'm still all fucked up from the treatment. I can only work part time. Made mortgage payments from my bed using crypto gains, sold part of my SETF stack to hold me over until I could start working again. Employer at the time was a badass and paid me for 15 hours a week during treatment just so I'd have some income. Hashbrown blessed.

I also live in a state with fairly low cost of living and have no debt to speak of. We were on food stamps for a while, but managed to pull my family out of that welfare spiral earlier this year.

This is actually a thing I think about. If the Fed can ONLY survive by creating easy money, then some of these covered-call funds would be well primed to be scooping up that money and dropping it int your pocket. If TSLY can you pay you massive dividends and you take that money and buy 1 share of GME and 1 oz of silver, you could have potentially hedged your risk and are then free to let it ride. It most likely will keep paying your money, or if it implodes then likely MOASS or the credit collapse has occurred.

the loophole is to start a business buying and selling precious metals. Get a bank loan of a few thousand to start you off with a small inventory. It takes time but if you have the business mind and patience, anyone can do it.

The reason we're seeing all the wars and chaos in the world now is because they are trying to accomplish all their global agendas before the system collapses, its why europe and america are going full commie, because they know the system is about to go down, its why pissrael is going full suicide right now and wont exist soon, because they are out of time and they know it, its why the brics are about to introduce a gold backed trade currency, because the system is coming down now and they know it.

I give it the end of 2025 or 26 before all this shit has collapsed and we're onto the next system, which wont be (((their))) system.

what would be a fair premium on these? 8 dollars w/ shipping? I can get these for 4$ over spot at my lcs; I would like to resell them for 40$ but I don't want to pull the trigger if I am unable to offload them quickly. I can beat most internet prices where a single replica is 48 before shipping. But I don't want to be stuck with product for longer than a few weeks. Just trying to gauge if these things are worth their design

the cruel joke is that every blockchain is actually a permanent fingerprint on the internet. So all the people being anonymous with their blockchains are just cementing their fate later.

Silver consistently being above $30 means that wall st has lost control of the price already.
Also no, there won't be a short squeeze, imagine thinking banks actually have to cover their shorts lmao.

Whatever you have to tell yourself. I'll continue bucketmaxxing into a variety of asset classes based on their viability for a variety of outcomes. You're either NEETS, or poorfags who don't have 401k matches and the ability to max out your Roth IRA and invest in PMs at the same time.

Is gold worth getting into now, since it's going to keep climbing? What about silver, or is it not going to go anywhere anytime soon?
