Monero ($XMR) has faced delistings from several major exchanges like Bittrex, Kraken (for UK customers), OKEx, Huobi (for Japan), and ShapeShift. This is mainly due to regulatory concerns and fears about privacy coins being used in illicit activities.

Monero has some clear advantages over other currencies though. It offers true anonymity and privacy in transactions, making it the go to choice for those who value financial privacy. Unlike more transparent currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, Monero keeps transaction details such as the sender, recipient, and amount completely hidden.

Given Monero's strong focus on privacy, do you think it will ever be relisted on the exchanges that previously delisted it? Will we ever see Monero thriving in mainstream light?

It will be a painful path there but probably. First we'll face hyperinflation. Everyone will use bitcoin instead because if they don't they'll go broke in a matter of months. Second, we'll face the bitcoin ban. Anyone who uses bitcoin will be arrested. Warrants will be executed by the day. Clandestine executions for those who have bigger wallets. Of course following said executions, the coins will all magically disappear. After a while of this, it will gradually become common practice to be holding and using xmr. It's not possible to prove you hold or use xmr, so there's no real way to go about arresting someone for it. There may still be clandestine executions, but only for idiots who brag about their wealth. Finance will become stateless. "Officially" we'll still be "using" the usd (for a while) but nobody will actually be holding or using usd.

how haven’t these delistings killed the coin?
once a finance guy sees it as an investment opportunity then it will get relisted somewhere lel

>> No.58764305

It will get re-listed once all of the major CEXs control cryptocurrencies like the banks (i.e. every crypto transaction will be from CEX to CEX with no option to withdraw or send to a self-hosted wallet).

The more important thing would be decentralised on and off ramping like Haveno is trying to do

Currently, Monero faces a significant challenge due to the limited availability of P2P platforms for exchanging fiat currency into XMR.

his bounty aims to incentivize and support the development of a fork of RoboSats and Lnp2pBot based on monero.

The community has already demonstrated its capability by successfully creating Haveno, a fork of Bisq. Expanding the availability of P2P exchange platforms not only enhances convenience but also strengthens the resilience and decentralization of the Monero network, aligning with its core principles of privacy and user autonomy. As the Monero community continues to evolve, the development of robust P2P infrastructure will play a pivotal role in its journey towards broader acceptance and usability.

Most normies don't even withdraw to a wallet, probably including most of /biz/.
They just want to gamble on the price moves.
