It's well known (?) that Quant is trying and failing to push themselves as a standard with the IETF. The only issue is that Quant has no industry adoption AT ALL so it would be weird for them to be a recognised standard in the IETF, which is exactly what the IETF has been saying to Quant yet they keep trying to push it anyway. This is the problem with what the nigress' approach - she thinks going to the IETF is what makes something a standard which gets adopted by industry, and not the other way around.
