Yes, it's good to have on hand. There are lots of random annoying expenses that pop up which you should be able to fund. It's also nice to have a backup plan in case your parents kick you out. Part of the reason normies have so much debt is that they spend everything they make and then can't afford to fix their car, their A/C, some dental work, etc. Having a nice fund of cash ready to use takes a ton of stress off. At work, I hardly even notice when it's payday because I already keep the money I need in my bank account.

It's not a bad idea, I mean I always grab things like kendu to make a second emergency fund just in case, I don't want to suffer the same as I did in 2021
