They're not a charity, and they didn't raise their starting wages to be a cool corporate daddy that cares.
They did whatever they thought they had to do to make the most profit.
They are buying labor from willing workers at the current fair market price. That's all.

If you're looking for the general betterment of workers, don't look at corporations, that's not their job. Never was.
