I have a feeling that this was the last ever bitcoin bull run, and bitcoin just follows the nasdaq from here with some added volatility.

lol
we haven't even seen the sovereign debt crisis
and I'm not just talking about the US
the US-t bills were the neutral default trade collateral of choice
there has been 0% progress in that front for crypto because governments are still hanging by a thread to their method of banking

we're literally at below 1% of what crypto will look like going forward

So there's little doubt that the correlation between Bitcoin's market value and the US stock market has increased over the years. It's not just a feeling, you can see graphs of it (picrel)
The question is whether the correlation will keep going all over the place, going back to zero and perhaps negative again next, or whether it's going to keep being a thing.
My wild guess is that the increased correlation since 2020 matches some level of US investor interest, and as long as that interest remains a large factor in Bitcoin's price action, it'll be visible on a correlation graph.

Also, just because there's some moderate correlation between BTC and SP500 at the moment, it doesn't mean you're getting the same returns. See picrel. If this wasn't a log chart, the SP500 line would be flat against the horizontal axis.

What reason would it have to indefinitely keep up with the market after the hype dies? It doesn't produce anything of value, has no real use cases besides gambling on it, and is way too volatile to function like actual money.
If it stops gaining beyond that ~$60-70k level then it probably will gradually decline over time from there and end up like $10k or less. Probably won't ever go to $0 but I think it'll ultimately stop gaining, start long term declining, and end on a much lower valuation than where it's at now.

It has never paused this long into a rally without coming back down. It re-tested the previous 2021 ranges and failed three times, so it's likely to keep bleeding out at this point.

Unfortunately, any future crypto rallies will probably just get smaller and smaller as this one was fairly tame compared to 2013, 2017 etc. Crypto is useless and doesn't provide any better solutions than what's already available on the market, but it's a great way to sell a bag to the greater fool.
