> Cuckdano is number 2 after Cripple
That table is sorted by market cap, so it's naturally putting the most blatantly premined garbage on top.
The author generally seems to assume market cap is a valuable metric to gauge a blockchain's worthiness.
He also leans hard into the notion that if a blockchain doesn't charge a lot of fees to its userbase, it's worthless, and that's a weird claim to make.
The last numerical column in that table is a "market cap to fee" ratio, which is just compounding the dubious metrics into something truly useless.
There had to be better ways to measure how much of a zombie a blockchain was. Maybe transaction count, value transferred, node counts, or even code commits frequency?

You will enjoy the following excerpt from the article, written specifically for you.
> The 20 zombie blockchains called out on our table are just the largest examples of digital assets trading without any regard for the utility or viability of their underlying projects. There are many more roaming about. According to CoinGecko, more than 13,000 cryptocurrencies are listed on various exchanges, most having the characteristics of speculative penny stocks, except they don’t represent ownership in anything at all. Thanks to bitcoin’s surge, the total value of all crypto is around $2.5 trillion today.

Its pretty amazing how poorly researched the ""list"" is. You have true stinky garbage like Eos and Algorand on there while ignoring prime offenders like Solana and Doge and instead put up Monero and Litecoin with the sole reasoning of ""uhhh bitcoin spinoff???""
