I have literally zero exposure to Chainlink right now. Not because I don't like the tech or don't believe in the team - I'd actually argue it's one of, if not the most useful chains in the entire space.

That's bad for price appreciation though. Hence why I'm balls deep in SOL (and associated memetokens), AI shitcoins, and gaming crap. I actually love LINK, but I've only ever lost money there. No thx

From what I‘m reading, the biggest difference is basically Eigenlayer making the trusted source of oracles the eth validators (and further the validators of other chains) and chainlink making the trusted source of oracles real world entities (banks, institutions etc); ie its a different kind of bootstrapping trust assumptions

Imo both can and probably will exist, but restaking is 1:1 rehypothecation, but without the regulations of the real world which could fuck eigenlayer bad if they‘re not careful. A bullrun ie positive economic prospect definitely helps, but when the run ends, it could get toasty
