Meaning normalfags will start pouring in expecting to get rich after it?

normalfags still absolutely don't give a shit, I don't think they will care one bit until BTC is over 100K and every news headline is throwing it down their throats evey day

It will pump, halving is natural on crypto, specially on BTC
I see this as a perfect time to buy, specially memecoins and controversial coins like MAGA TRUMP

>Could the Halving become a 'Buy the news event'?
sure, maybe, if all the miners agree to shut down exactly half of their mining rigs

>> No.58409533

The supply cuts in half regardless of how many people mine and what their hashrate is. If oil production cuts in half oil goes up, it doesn't matter if opec tries to fix the price they cant change the basic economics. Its also like the reverse situation in argentina where they tried to fix the exchange rate lower but printed massive amounts of cash, the real rate was 3x higher no matter how hard they tried to enforce a false rate

Yes. Bitcoin is the peoples money. Ita digital gold.

There have been halvings before, just look at historical data and figure it out, it’s not fucking hard

>The supply cuts in half regardless of how many people mine
but the mining expenses, ie. minimum selling price, halves

I think is already happening, most new crypto projects are aiming to make things easier for normies, just like eesee for example, they made their site look and feel like a social network, easy to use. Is this good or bad? cant say, but engagement with the user base is key to success to any endeavor.

Mining is almost all energy and land cost. The hardware is peanuts. You can only expand if you have space and energy and the big miners are at their limits or already expanded by now to prepare

>> No.58409891

>>58409889
if all miners agree to turn off half of their miners the mining costs will halve but income will remain same, leading to lower market price

We should spread misinformation and propaganda to let normiefags know that this is the best time to buy, maybe we can get a little BTC pump and maybe my satoshibank will get greener

>> No.58409909

>>58409891
But they don't. I went all in on mining when the first asics came out from bitmain. I dropped out when hashrate kept rising even after price drops and halving. The big miners are getting insanely cheap energy, they only turn off mining hardware to make space for more efficient hardware

so the halving won't be a 'sell the news' kind of thing, there, OP has his answer

I still remember how many were buying their rigs when everything collapsed, it's weird I haven't seen many in this bullrun, 2021 was full of those little retards, although dextools is still the same with the amount of memecoins lmao
