Money doesn't buy happiness but it does by comfort.

you are happy because you do not have to worry about money because it buys you comfort

The biggest mistake is thinking money will automatically fix all your social problems.
Loser with no friends and never had a gf now? That won't change overnight just because you have money. It will give you the time an opportunity to fix yourself perhaps, but you still have to get up and do it, something that money cannot force you to do (and which you could get up now and do anyway for 99% of people).

you are implying you need "friends"
and that is not true

it buys literal happiness and comfort

If you make enough money you will have more than enough time for self improvement if you have enough to be able to never wage slave ever again.

Money doesn't buy happiness DIRECTLY
It buys happiness INDIRECTLY

By avoiding the things that make people generally unhappy while simultaneously making it easier to acquire or achieve things that generally make people happy, it has a double effect.
They reinforce each other. For example, if having a family makes you happy, then all the encumbrances of it, like saving up for a home, working hard to sustain it, pay the bills, afford quality education, etc are all gone while finding a nice wife, living in a good neighborhood, your kids making good friendships are all attracted and made easier by money, so the effect is double and it reinforces itself.

I agree that it buys comfort but, I also agree that it can't buy happiness. Many richfags live miserable lives, turn to drugs, become alcoholics, and in many cases kill themselves. They surround themselves with material things to help cope but that's all a temporary satisfaction.

It can actually get you sadness post comfort, because you realize the novelty of even hobbies wears off after you have all the time in the world to do shit.

Money definitely has the potential to buy happiness, but it won't give you the wisdom to understand what a meaningful/fulfilling life actually is. Getting money and actually knowing how to use it are two different skills, and it's pretty rare that you find someone with both (it's uncommon to have either one, imo).

Money also can't buy everything, and you can still become happy without having all that much of it as long as you don't have debt collectors breathing down your neck. It's a nuanced thing that I don't really think you can accurately explain in a soundbyte or slogan.

These things are also true.
