Are pizza places profitable? This guy runs 2 pizza places and live streams on youtube. He drives a pretty nice Truck and ahs a race car and shit as well as a Tesla. He hires a bunch of zoomers and probably pays them minimum wage. The one live stream he said he did a weeks worth of sales in one weekend and it was busy as shit. any pizza anons out there?

this is the live stream he has a cam at each store. makes me wanna start a pizza shop but i wonder if he makes anything from the livestream as part of his profits.

Food in general is not profitable for the amount of effort put in. Sure if you build an empire with a dozen different restaurants you'll make it but the business is cutthroat

Keep food places for money laundering.

Food industry is garbage. Please stay out of it if you want money.

Restaurant margins are shit, he's probably profitable if the place is actually busy and he's likely got loans for every one of those vehicles and also the business itself
The amount of time and effort required to survive in that industry is not worth the peanuts of profit, he's likely paying himself low 6 figures, meanwhile he's a slave to running that shit

margins are razor thin, loss and overhead is huge, income is largely seasonal depending on where you're located, operating hours are long, low income employees are flaky teens and weird adults with substance abuse issues
great for tax evasion tho

he does seem to live at this place. he is live early in the morning sometimes and just doing a shitload of prep and dough making. it just looks easy when i munch on doritos and watch other people work

it's not cute and fun when you're 48 and you have to do morning prep on a monday after a 70 hour work week because your morning guy got arrested for a DUI again

Being in the right location and being able to make good pizza can make it very profitable. You need lots of repeat customers to make good money and you need a good reason for them to keep coming back. As mentioned, you need to know how to make good pizzas and that requires a lot of experience. If you don't know how already then its not worth it to start.

>> No.58305651

Wait, how is it legal to livestream your employees? Or are zooms that retarded and are glad they get in the "show"

Yes the margin on pizza is good. And that is countered by all the reasons listed ITT.

Speaking as a complete non-expert on this, it's probably as profitable as about 10% per year, which is what you'd get in the stock market. Unless you have a great way to stand out you won't average more than 10% profit in your pocket per year, more or less exactly what you'd get with stocks.

The new meta is livestreaming your wagie job for a few extra advertising bucks.
It's yet another Malthusian race to the bottom though. Soon it will be standard for wagies to be live streaming their entire lives through AR headsets, hoping that some stupid shit they do goes viral for a day or two so they can afford a Bug Mac.

this guy knows
problem with food service industry is the motley assortment of crackheads, alkies and general fuckups who pass as 'kitchen employees'. Youd maybe get away with mostly zoomers if its just toppings and into an oven, but someone still needs to prep all that shit

Lmao pizza prep is not that difficult. You should have your own family and children working for you by 60.
