There's 2 kinds of sellers

Seller A) The one who sells and doesn't give a single fuck what the price goes up to later

Seller B) The one who sells and spends the rest of their life seething over what the price went up to later

How do I become like Seller A?

Let's be real, if any of us were old and savvy enough to be buying BTC back then, this is probably what we would have done too. It would have taken an insane amount of conviction to hold BTC from 2011 until now. That's why anyone who says people who got rich off BTC are "lucky" is full of shit.

Yeah I was buying all through 2015 for $200-400 and sold in 2019 for $13k

I still seethe today about not having kept it all

You still made a sizable profit, and even if you kept holding, it would have "only" been a 4-5x, which you can easily still achieve in current day markets.
Just be happy that you're not one of those r/buttcoiners who knew about Bitcoin since it was $8, yet smugly declared it a scam and never made a single cent from it

Pick solid projects. Just try not to regret they turn out to end up dead like most cryptos.

I remember one of the few classmates I used to talk to during my university days, he was the first person that talked to me about bitcoin. It must have been 2010 or 2011. He was telling me about this internet money, the algorithm and how there were even a few atms out there. It looked interesting but I simply thought that it was something like paypal or something. We graduated and we never talked again. I wondered sometimes if he bought and he became mega rich, until the day I saw his profile on Linkedn and he had the sticker "open to work".

>the sticker "open to work"
that is actually a good way to divert attention away from you for why you dont seem to have a real job or day activity
hiding your power level when you dont cuck yourself every day in the cagie is actually rather hard to accomplish

Never sell all. Sell keeping in mind that it could go up later. Keep the asset/cash ratio that makes you happy either way.

Something to think about, if you didn't sell, it may have never gone up.

The only people who wouldn't have sold early are the ones who understood bitcoin's scarcity from the outset, like early bitcoiners in the cypherpunk community.
Those guys are something else

Bitcoin day 1, after releasing the first working version of Bitcoin software, the very first response Satoshi got in the mailing list was a message from Hal Finney the day after, making a $10 million dollar Bitcoin prediction.

wow i cant believe i never read the old emails. i talked to people around 14 years ago that were saying they werent selling until 10k,100k,1million etc and I thought they were overly optimistic. I was surprised when it was worth more than the euro. But I didn't know anything about economics
