>entire market is still dependent upon Bitcoin
This doesn’t seem like a very good system guys

It doesn’t seem to be that way anymore, at least not with the alts I’m holding. I have been surprised by it this cycle, but good alts are holding price and still pumping.

I know you think you’re smart, but you aren’t. I’m not trying to shill you my shitcoins. You should pay attention to what isn’t dumping today though because the market is trying to tell you something

You want advice from people losing money today? Good strategy. There’s a lot of alts holding up.

it doesnt just "depend" on bitcoin, its entire existence is because of bitcoin. Only the btc/usd pair matters, everything else is derivative from this

Dude those are still shitcoins I wouldn't call them alts. It's not that they are "smart" it's simply that they are on the far end of gambling and don't really follow the market.

I’m suggesting that this cycle, midcaps are more detached from BTC movements than we’re used to. I’ve been noticing this for a while and changed my strategy this run. It’s been working well for me. Anything on major exchanges is going to move with BTC in a more exaggerated way, they always have. Midcaps are not the same sea of red right now though.

memecoin contracts on eth not moving with btc price doesnt mean they're good holds because of this. A month from now btc could be hitting new ath's and these memecoins dumping 80% in a day, so them being stable now is hardly an indicator

If BTC dumps, everything dumps even harder

that's what worries me sometimes, BTCfi is supposed to be built to be an L2, on top of BTC, but what if BTC crashes? should not all L2s be independent or something?

Well yeah, obviously. Previously cycles though, midcaps would get absolutely slaughtered when BTC corrected. It was like a race to get out first and tether before any drop. Made accumulating bags very frustrating. It probably has a lot to do with moving from traditional order books to AMM dexes and also new market entrants who are more likely to be in midcaps just don’t give a shit about BTC
