Depends though, if you live somewhere each cryptocurrency trade is a taxable event, its impossible to do it without getting wrecked. Between taxes, whatever proprietary software you need to install to track all your trades, reporting software. Better to go completely dark (or as near as possible) and just wait to cash out until you actually have some millions. Obviously then do it in a favorable jurisdiction. Also obviously doesn't apply to Americans, you poor bastards better pay your taxes since unless you renounce citizenship you're never getting away from your taxman.

They are going to notice if you suddenly get rich after moving and buy a fancy house.
If you cash out a large sum suddenly without any prior tax records on obtained crypto currencies they are also going to know you have been dodging taxes.

Not really. If your tax bracket is 1 (salary from a job and single), you don't need to file. Whenever you want to sell crypto even holding after one year, you would want to declare the taxes for that year so they would know where it comes from.

Let's say I hold tranny coin for 5 years and sell it in 2025. I would need to declare the taxes in 2026 for year of 2025, even though i will pat 0% tax on that cash out/sell.
