I don't have stocks in this company, so i have no personal investment in it's growth. I don't use reddit and have never talked about this subject before. Also we are allowed to buy stocks, there are certain block periods (usually a few weeks before the investor presentations) but otherwise it's allowed.

Not sure how to say this in American terms, but here in Brazil you can buy something like stocks from the country or something, they follow inflation and grow steadily; i have no intention of getting into actual stocks, just dumping everything in the inflation index is enough for me. At this rate i can retire in a few years and see no benefit in trying anything else out. I was just curious as to how stock value would help the company, but apparently it doesn't, just individuals who do have stock in it.

I only buy public storage companies since that class of reits are resistant to a lot of the common problems their peers encounter. Property values don't matter because they just need to house crap. They have a pretty stable customer base since people need to store things when they move, or they're hoarders and keep crap in units when their houses are full. Interest rates are about the only thing that wrecks them as hard as other classes, but I can't think of a reit class that wouldn't get rekt by interest rates. As for specific picks sadly there are very few sector specific reit etfs. I've been buying EXR and CUBE since they were mega dipping. No clue if they'll perform better or worse than the rest of the market for '24 so I am selling out of EXR and some CUBE. Buy if you want to bet on more mass consumption, sell if you think vagabonding will pick up traction.

What is the downside of just selling a covered call as far out as I can with an exercise price that’s slightly above my purchase price and then just taking a huge premium? For example, I bought at $177, it’s currently around $171, and I could sell at an exercise price of $180 992 days out and take a $3000 premium.
