Cant. If I could I would have. The cheapest form of housing is government housing here and there are strict requirements. I have to be married or be over 35 if single. Even then the cheapest one is 200k sgd, at the current rate of saving, 40 years of nonstop work. Provided inflation doesnt destroy me. If I get kicked out of the house, obviously life will become too difficult to go on. My neighbour kicked their son out and he instantly killed himself like the very next day. Shit is so fucked. Even if I did get married, government housing here works on a lottery. I have to get my name pulled from a hat to get a chance at a random house on this island. Its literal housing gacha.
