Should I stop putting money in my 401k and just buy crypto currency as my retirement strategy?

How old are you? I'd at least put in enough to get company match and then use the rest for crypto.

Mid 20s. I got like 40k in my retirement fund but have a 20k crypto portfolio.

Keep putting money in your 401k. Max out your employer contribution, and ideally go beyond.
But also buy Bitcoin.
If your 401K plan lets you pick arbitrary ETFs, consider allocating some portion of it in one of the Bitcoin ETFs.

Know what? For all the flak she gets, she’s not that bad! Especially if you’re into filthy big tit MILFs. It is kinda weird that Bezos is with her though. She should be getting gangbanged by a bunch of frat boys or something, seems more fitting,

Seriously if serious
Do the math
Even with your company match it's not even close
Bitcoin will destroy your 401k over 30 years.
Its probably smart to have money in us stock market tho, holding the best 10 s&p stonks is the only way to beat inflation, besides bitcoin

If you're going beyond the match you're retarded, and if you're not taking advantage of the match you're even more retarded

i stopped contributing 3 years ago, never looked back
>>58186486
you're thinking of social security (into which you MUST contribute by law), not 401(k)

>> No.58186644

Maybe yours but not mine. 401ks are limited by your employer

I switched jobs last year, so 6 months ago i just took my enite 401k and put it in link, im still dooing the 5% employer match in my new job.

Dont know if you know but every job ive had i could take a loan out (that you just pay back into your 401k).

>> No.58187546

always max out your 401k you stupid fuck. leave it in the lowest ER index funds and fuck off. 30 years later you will have some sort of sanity in retirement while you continue to play with buttcoins

>> No.58187615

>>58187546
What does it mean to max a 401k?
Isn't that money untouchable until you retire and/or hit 65 (unless you want to pay more fees or something)?

>> No.58187807

>>58185104
Yes this. Get your employer $$.
Start another crypto IRA, consolidate old 401Ks/IRAs and trade out of that for retirement. Or use a boomer IRA stock account to trade a BTC proxy like MSTR. COIN, or MARA.

Don't use more than 1/2 for crypto, obviously as life risk management.

long term investment: btc easily

if you want to use your brain a little or just make predictions with a coin that goes up and down more frequently than others, but at the same time predictable and convenient overall, then i could recommend ya loaf cat
