It is, Im a vendor a certain pie company and the pies we sell in the frozen produce section use to be .38 oz per pie. Only 2 weeks ago did they start rolling out the new pies and they are now .30 oz per pie for same price, But even the prices have been slowly increasing the last couple of month so compared to a few months back you really are paying more for less. Shrinkflation is actually real and not a myth at all. Even the ink they use to market the products on the packages are using less and less ink and the packages actually have faded coloring compared to the old packages so companies are trying to save money every way they can.

It's not just the product weight, I've noticed the nutritional content is changing too. I use a health tracker app and when I scan the barcode I have to check the macros are right because ingredients are gradually being substituted.

i've also been noticing a change in my doordash orders. when it was new the drivers were all white. over time they got darker skin, which is fine, im not racist, and it's expected that low skilled jobs would go to the coloreds. but since 2020 i've noticed something else -- doordash drivers are getting SHORTER. they are literally shrinking our delivery drivers to keep prices the same. today I ordered a pizza and my driver could not have been more than 4 foot tall, it made me fucking jump I thought it was a 12 year old that got out of the car
