Nobody calls back to reject you. Odds are 99% they want to hire, otherwise you'd get a form letter at best or nothing.

Missing the call is irrelevant, nobody wants to have to re-convene and make a new hiring decision. You'd have to ghost for weeks.

I seriously wouldn't worry about missing a call under those circumstances. If they've already prepared an offer for you, they're not going to change a hiring decision over the weekend when presumably nobody's even around to rethink it. If I were you, I'd just leave the HR lady an email mentioning that you missed her call and telling her you look forward to speaking on Monday. Even that's going the extra mile, though.

I get that a little nervousness is inevitable, especially since it's a massive dick move to leave you hanging like that. But I'd be extremely surprised if you lost a job offer over missing a single phone call at the end of the work day on a Friday.

HR people are notoriously lazy and they don't give a fuck about successfully hiring you or not. That's the recruiter's job. The person who cares the most was the hiring manager, who needs to replace someone else who quit from getting a better offer someplace else, probably using a recruiter.
