How do all these manufacturing/food companies stay profitable? Everywhere you go there are a shitload of their factory food/products littering a store/grocery store every other 10 mile square radius in a semi populated area. How are companies like SCJohnson crapping out so of much shit that sits on shelves for probably 3 years and doesn't sell? How do their insane supply chains work to such a scale while being so irregular in demand? You can't even find/name people that work at these shadowy companies beyond their CEO in a picture, and a lot of them are either private or literally nobody buys stock in companies like kraft heinz or con agra other then coca cola boomer poster type people, big money algorithms are always dumping money in the same 10-11 tech stocks. They're not real or its aliens working at these companies. You'd probably get abducted and sent to some CIA interrogation black site if you simply asked for a tour of coca cola bottling plant or hormel foods processing plant. Yeah, I just stop caring once I bought. If I picked wrong, who carees. It's just 0.5-1% of my portfolio. Overall I try to buy things that are profitable. I also tend to pick dividend payers, looking forward to retirement. I put some money into ETFSs too (i.e.S&P tech component or water) so I'm trying different things.
Overall I feel like by casting a wide net on companies that proven to be profitable increases my chances of finding something that will 10x in a decade, helping me secure my retirement.

On the other hand, liquidating my portfolio would take ages, which makes it impossible for me to take risks when I see an opportunity.
