Then prices are a bit all over the place, for the decent condition's ones (XF) it's around 300-400 i'd say (prob. more in the US). Sometimes less if you manage to secure a great deal during an auction.

Tbf i just purchased the coin, got it for 60€. It's from a numismatic store and should be accompagnied with a certification/bill, hopefully it'll have more details about the provenance.

Be super careful with those. One of my very first silver coinage purchase was for a big lot of commemorative coins sold as silber who were minted by EU countries. Problem is 70% of them weren't in silver.
EU countries mint two version of the same coin : one in cupronickel, one in silver. But they don't give you a single clue about which is which. They are exactly identical! Only way to find out is to weight them and the silver one will be slightly heavier of course.
But as a newbie, when i looked up online to reference the coins before making the purchase, only the silver versions were appearing first on Numista/google, so i wasn't aware a shitty nickel version existed for each...

Once it arrived home i didn't pay much attention, and since they were commemorative under capsule, i didn't want to scratch them. By the time i figured out identical versions in cupro existed, it was far too late to ask for a return/refund. I lost like 150 bux this way. Pic very related, one among others.

I have yet to figure out how a currency can be backed by a basket of commodities. You can set a price for the commodities by fiat, but that won't work.
