NVIDIA is reaping years of investment in making their cards attractive to AI stuff, since Google published about deep learning. It's AI that's driving the demand now and due to all the LLM hype which is bringing more investment in R&D everyday and increased demand as LLM companies are finally offering attractive products and other companies are finally figuring out how to integrate those in their product development and have it be a value add and not a gimmick.
