kathie wood said BTC is likely to go to 1 million soon and that got me to wondering how much electricity it would cost to drive BTC blockchain when that happens? What about when 1 BTC = 1 billion dollars?

Why would kwh to run miners vary depending on the exchange rate?

if the price is unrealistically high (for current hash rate) at 1M (it wont) then there will be massive initiative for miners to get into the game, and it will become as profitable for them as it is now. regardless the price of bitcoin production will soon be around 80K. btc would have to use 10X the electricity to warrant an actual non-bubble price of 100K or about 10% of the worlds electricity
