Plebbit! is an opensource, free to use, serverless, scalable & purely P2P social media protocol with no https endpoints, no ssl certs, built on the IPFS.
This means plebbit is more decentralized than federated alternatives which still use regular DNS.
Instead of authoritarian global mods there are only sub/boars specific mods.
Plebbit seems to have adopted the original ethos of crypto; not your keys not your btc; similarly not your keys, not your sub/board/username.
Plebbit's demos are working. There is a webclient (leeches and is slow) and downloadable client (seeds and is fast).
There is a front end styled on old reddit and 4chan but opensource devs could code other styles like discourse or vbulletin if the opensource programmer so decides. This means the front is flexible unlike statically designed social media protocols which are closed source.
Plebbit is still buggy as its still in development, but it seems to be a genuinely novel design, unless anyone here can refute me or propose a genuine, viable challenger.
Plebbit uses NFTs for avatars (optional).
Plebbit uses ENS names for usernames (optional).
Although there is a token, it will only be used for curating the plebbit default feed, tipping and voting on the DAO for development issues.
HOWEVER, posting itself will always be free. As socialfi hype seems to be leading the bullrun hype, Plebbit may go straight to 1-5Bmc Easily

You should decide whether you want to be a whole coiner or have 1-2million because you won't get there with BTC.

If your goals are only 2-5x then stay with eth and BTC. Large cap older Alts like Matic, Ada, and Algo won't do more than a 10x. If you want to make it with less than $100k you need to have riskier plays with low cap Alts.

Will echo this. If you buy large cap alts you will probably just have the same performance as ETH or BTC but with more risk. Memes are also rugpulls generally and successful ones are really rare if you look at the numbers. Utility tokens with good tokenomics are what you need to do more than a 5x.

I only know KNS, AVI in depth but I'm sure there are others shilled outside of /biz/ if you don't like those two for whatever reason. Make sure whatever token you buy has a strong narrative, dextools, and tokenomics. You can buy something that is actually useful but if the devs have control over the contract or own too many tokens in individual wallets you still may not make money. Take a look at the stuff Coinbase looks for when listing a token:

I used to have 20K of this. Then went down to holding 8700. Then 870. Then exited completely when shortly after the advent of ChatGPT they still weren't in a position to host compute for any LLM platforms. I ran a worker node in 2019, thinking that RLC was the future and that Gille was a visionary. It's a fucking miserable failure. If they had actually delivered even half of what they promised a few years ago, they would have been primed to deliver AI compute capacity for when LLM's were under load. Stretching and scaling to demand, with this reflected in its price.

RLC is a scam at this point, run by highly competent-incompetents. It's a fucking travesty. It actually makes me physically angry that I was ever conned into buying it, even if I did make a marginal profit at the time.

The best way to predict this stuff it's to look at the chart. ROSE's ATH top was like 3x from here, and that's where there was the most hype.

I'm super heavily invested in AVI, which is only 40m mc fully diluted and whose base bridge allows other ETH projects to deploy their token to Base. You can see, with the high gas prices, why it has utility and the low mc gives it room to grow. There's other stuff too like KNS and some AI tokens which all have real usecases and low market cap. Make sure whatever you try has green dextools, safe contract, an active and honest dev team, etc
