https://archived.moe/biz/thread/57813243

>The buyage in June 2022 (the biggest buyzone in the bear market) was just utterly crushed by the recent sellage. The March 2023 buyage (biggest buyzone in the bull market) was EVEN MORE crushed. Ouch.

>For the noobs and/or mentally handicapped who don't know what they're looking at, the spheres are autogenerated graphical visualizations representing buying and selling. The bigger the sphere, the more buyage/sellage occurred. And when it's really extreme, a line manifests growing out of the sphere. The more extreme the buyage/sellage is, the thicker the line becomes. Neither the buyage in March 2023 nor even that in June 2022 (a HUGE amount of buying occurred then) generated a line, but the recent sellage DID. And the buyage in March 2023 (the most powerful buyzone in the bullrun) pales in comparison to the recent sellage.

Reminder of the extraordinary and unprecedented selling that's happened now. Don't be shocked or surprised later as Bitcoin falls.

Paid shill reply. One of those shills constantly refreshing the catalog waiting for any damning bearish information to be shared which they don't want the "nasty goyim" to know about. that's what op seems to fail to grasp
this data is EXTREMELY bullish
the fact that we are selling so much and the price is still that high is the most bullish signal ever
it means that no one is left to sell in the next months, only up from here
thank you OP just bought more

>> No.57937165

>>57936371
You don't understand what you're seeing in the chart at all, if you think anything about it is bullish. It's unfathomly bearish that there's so much selling lately. The selling now far outweighing any previous buying zones means this sell zone (60k range) is a top zone which will become a very difficult resistance later (not a become a support, but a resistance – it /would/ become a support if this was a buying zone; it's not; it's a sell zone). That doesn't mean BTC can't pump to lets say 75k or even 80k first, but it does mean BTC will fall down far below 60k later and then much later will have an immensely difficult time breaking through the resistance in the 60k range due to all the selling which occurred there.

>>57936089
That sell zone depicted in the OP chart is just a rough zone, an area, it's not saying BTC couldn't go to 70k. And the chart is from March 3rd. If the screenshot was taken now then that red circle would be even larger and the line maybe even thicker, as more selling has occurred since then. The circles in the chart represent volume or amount of BTC bought and sold, green being buying and red being selling. More buying occurred during the dumps in mid-late 2022 than in 2023 or now. And more selling has occurred now during this bullrun (especially in this last rally starting in October) than the buying which occurred during the bear market.

>> No.57937295

>>57937165
what differentiates a buy and a sell? is it who the market maker is?

>> No.57937315

>>57937165
And regarding the "it's not saying BTC couldn't go to 70k" and "That doesn't mean BTC can't pump to lets say 75k or even 80k first", there was a lot of selling from 31k to 36k yet the price continued up. But of course that wasn't /as much/ selling as now. And another thing to note about the 31k-36k sell zone is that it as well would become a resistance area, if BTC were to drop below 30k. But again as there was less selling in that zone, it wouldn't become as strong of a resistance area.

And as there was a lot of buying a few k above 20k, /that/ zone is a good support area. If however BTC would drop under 20k, then it would very easily hit sub 10k as there was (comparatively) very little buying around 15.5k.

Is it realistic to extrapolate this way though? Can the buying/selling ratio at a price level months ago really inform trading months later if it returns to that level?

Buying is purchasing. That's when Bitcoin is bought.

Of course but the price changes. A coin is $100 and someone sells it for $95, someone buys it for $95 but then someone else (or the same guy) now sells it for $90, and so on it goes. So simply there's more selling, than buying. Until that changes. At lets say $25 where most people think owning the coin is worth more than than the $25 because they think it will go up and become worth more than that. So they're now willing to buy at $26, then $27, $28, $29, $30, $35, $40, etc. More buying than selling = price goes up.

nigger hahahah are you that blind that you don't know every trade has 2 sides?
YOU HAVE TO FIND A BUYER IN ORDER TO SELL
AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN IF THERE IS THAT MUCH SELLING BUT THE PRICE DOESN'T GO DOWN?
WHAT DOES IT MEAN, NIGGER?
It means that all these sellers are always find a buyer that DOESN'T go "you know what? this price is a little too high for me, i'm not gonna buy here, i'll buy it from you at -10%"
this is NOT happening
instead, they are all buying at this price, that is the reason why is not going down

That's not a "strawman", it's simple math. Even if you sold at 15k (not the very top) and bought at 6k (not the very bottom) you'd still be MUCH better off than if you just held through that entire bear market, which you failed to understand (due to your low IQ). Additionally his point was also that this other low-IQ anon here >>57938672 would've preferred to "hoddel with le diamond hands" like a plebbitor all the way from that top to the bottom, rather that multiplying his coins effortlessly for free by selling near the top and rebuying lower.
