Anyone mining on CPUs?
I want to stack XMR but it seems ZEPH is more profitable. Is it best to use moneroocean, or mine ZEPH directly and then swap to something else?

mining is so competitive it's not worth doing. you'd be mining for years on end to recoup your investment

Idk anon, if ZEPH does a 2x it can cut down my ROI to about 5-6 months. If electricity is cheap it's good, this is not ASIC mining and the hardware is still valuable and doesn't get obsolete like an ASIC.

we get a new generation of CPUs every year, just like we get new ASICs every year

Older CPUs don't get obsolete for mining though. The most common chip for home mining still seems to be the Ryzen 9 3900/5900x. Older EPYC's are also good.

Dont be a retard and just buy the coin if you have conviction it will go up.. Mining was fun as a hobby but is and will be dead past ETH-PoS fork

No. Mining is fun. I love DCAing electricity into coins.

What is currently the best CPU for monero mining that offers the best performance for it's value?

I mine on my desktop that has an undervolted R9 5900x. 13800 h/s and running pretty cool at 60-65c. But it looks like R9 3900x is more efficient, about the same performance but it's cheaper.
