Not to burst your bubble friend, but you need the trading price of the option to double in the second example, not the trading price of the stock itself. Options are based on the stock price, sure, but the gains of a stock price do not translate directly to the contract price.

A stock moving up $1 doesn't mean each option moves up $1 in buy price. Thats why options that go for $1 are pretty worthless because either no one wants to buy them, or they are so far out of the money that it would require a huge jump in price and volatility in order for the buy price of the option to go up even a little.

There are calls going for NVDA expiring today with a strike price of $1700 and a cost per contract You can go buy a hundred of those, but even with how nvda can jump up a dollar at any point, no one is going to buy your contract for more than $1, if any do want to buy them.
