Why make a 4x in 4 years when you could make a 20-50x in 2 years?

Why does every /PMG/ have that random anon that always scream about us losing $ due to premiums? Buyers of PM's have always been aware of premiums and don't care.

Then you have the crypto shills who have dozens of threads active already and still try to promote it on here.

Now you got that guy who is talking about miners. Leave us stackers alone already.

Political risk. If the dollar stops acting as the reserve currency then purchasing power will largely revert back to commodities. Mines will be impossibly over valued and will likely all get nationalized once the U.S. defaults on the dollars/debts. No nation is going to eat shit on their dollar holdings only to turn around and honor the obligations to foreign investors.
The potential for massive gains is very real in some mining stocks/sectors but also 100% loss is very real as well. I own a tepid amount of mining shares and I will not buy any more as I would rather focus on the majors that own mining rights in Canada and Nevada over Mexico.

Why would you settle trade with dollars when we can't even pay our debts without selling Treasuries?
Commodities are going to be the de-facto means of securing purchasing power on the global market once the value of bank credit collapses to a fraction of what it is today. WW3 is going to be a massive resource grab.
Something to watch out for is U.S. saber rattling at Mexican drug cartels. That means we'll be coming for the mines. Our "national park" land grabs are also mineral dense and will open up right as shit falls apart.

Or redemonating the coins. Other countries did that. Britains cupronickel 2 shilling was redenominated to the 10(new) pence and then now that weight is the 50 pence coin.
The only hard part is acceptance of old coinage if its different than the newer versions.
Pic related silver is about 1 to 1000 to base metals in abundance.

I wouldn't say extremely unlikely but maybe just unlikely; The early USA had its coinage periodically rehauled up to the 1900s when silver trade dollars were produced for commerce in the orient. Americans didnt like the trade dollars because they were different from the current norm. nobody likes change in their change.

In a land not too far, where the sun always shines, Lived a group called the Fondleboys, with their precious metal mines. They bought and they held, they fondled with glee, Their gold and their silver, as shiny as can be.

But little did they know, in a corner nearby, Lived another group, with a twinkle in their eye. The owners of junior mining stocks, they were called, Their dreams were big, their ambitions enthralled.

The Fondleboys laughed at them, with their stocks so small, “We have gold and silver, the greatest of all!” But the juniors just smiled, for they knew a secret so grand, That would soon change the fate of this precious metal land.

As time went by, the market took a turn, The prices of metals began to churn. The Fondleboys panicked, their metals losing shine, While the juniors saw an opportunity divine.

For in times like these, when metals lose their charm, It’s the junior mining stocks that can cause no harm. With exploration and discovery, they held the key, To riches untold, for those who could see.

And so it came to pass, in this whimsical tale, That the Fondleboys learned a lesson without fail. That it’s not just about buying and holding what’s old, But about investing wisely in what’s yet to unfold.

So remember dear reader, as this story ends, In the world of investments, it’s not just about trends. Take heed from the juniors, with their stocks so bright, For sometimes it’s the underdogs that win the fight.

Confiscation never happened when gold was banned in 33'. Silver was money back then, impossible to confiscate the coins from peoples sock drawers and pockets. i normally don't post more than "crypto nerds will seethe" (because not much more needs to be said), but i just had a thought about why gold and silver keep crabbing.

blackrock manages over $10 trillion and the vanguard group manages another $7.7 trillion. the value of all gold and silver contracts traded daily is nowhere near that much. why won't blackrock/vanguard step up and buy that for massive paper gains?

because gold and silver have uses beyond being a store of value. they're industrial metals, and if the price of the metal goes up, everything that uses gold and silver goes up too.

>muh plastic bottles

stfu. they're made with machines that use gold and silver in their construction. price of buying/maintaining/replacing those machines goes up, your plastic crap goes up in value

crypto is the perfect vehicle for paper gains. blackrock buys lots of shitcoin, forces the price up, people buy to and drive price up higher. then blackrock sells for massive gains, and people panic sell driving the price lower. then blackrock buys and starts the cycle again. crypto is an easy target for manipulators.

>muh mining stonks

stocks are backed by an actual company, its business, and its assets, unlike shitcoin. the problem with mining stocks is they are the worst of stocks (manipulated by big guys like blackrock) and pms (artificially tamped down). and thats before you get into people getting hysterical (nividia is not worth $1.6 trillion no matter what people say).

there is an ai tech stock boom beginning, but know what all those stocks have in common? they need computers, which use gold and silver. so the price of gold and silver must be artificially tamped down to fuel the boom. i will not speculate if its a conscious conspiracy theory or an unspoken agreement pms must be priced cheaply (tinfoil hats aren't pms).

then you have the esg tech backed by uncle sam and blackrock, and know what esg tech needs? silver and gold. and it gets better, silver and gold can't be recovered when used in this manner. for example as far as stackers are concerned, building solar panels and lobbing silver into the sun are the same (ie they reduce the amount of silver available.)

so where does that leave us stackers?

when we stack, we are making a long-term bet. we're betting that society's need for silver and gold outstrips the amount that is being mined and will drain global reserves. we're betting diversity and inclusion will prevent us from mining the heckin asteroids. we're betting the price suppression that made shitcoin mining possible will break.

will society collapse? no, i don't think so. but i think the price suppression breaking will mark the transition of the average person from free citizen to corporate serf. things may or may not get better, but they will certainly get worse, and only stackers will weather the storm.

keep on stacking /pmg/

the bigger issue with mining stocks lately seems to be the absolute dog shit state that the corporate space is in. Corporate for mining seems to have no real idea how to operate their projects or how their space actually functions, causing all sorts of delays, failing plans or out right bankruptcy. PMs will likely outperform both in terms of risk. your mining stocks fall into speculative investing in a likely high risk category. you've been fighting with others here calling them crazy for their paranoia regarding the government and overall economy. but if *that's* their level of risk tolerance, can you really blame them for liking PMs? or perhaps many of them are diversified and just view PMs as another tool in their portfolio. if you're here trying to sell mining stocks, you're probably here for the wrong reasons and your message will fall on deaf ears regardless.

Canada may not nationalize the companies, but the Trudeau gov / their minions have been trying to make operating projects in the country a nightmare for quite some time. They offered federal funding to projects in the Ring of Fire of Ontario, then rug pulled the support a year later, leaving over a dozen projects out in the cold.
Permitting and planning changes proposed in BC, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec could lead to mass corporate flight from the country, if allowed to pass. No one wants to operate a mine in a country where the permit program is constantly in flux.

This will probably all change for the better once Trudeau is gone, but if he doesnt go, things will only get worse.

This question is fundamentally flawed. It implies that you want and value paper money more than your silver, and you're planning to sell early.

Look into the War Production Board's Order L-208 which forced the closure of US gold mines in 1942. Shareholders in American gold mining companies got fucked, and elsewhere gold mines were taken over to help fund wartime expenses or the resources diverted from private industry to support the war effort created serious material and manpower shortages which cratered production. With the globalists and their glowhard puppets saber-rattling over Russia/Ukraine and the clusterfuck in Israel the world is yet again on the brink of another war that could easily disrupt strategically irrelevant mining operations and justify the nationalization of the rest. I have mining stocks too but overall they've been a loser, hopefully you're right and they stop being such heavy bags of dogshit but I'd rather sleep well with a stack of bullion stashed away than micromanage risky miners.

It's not just mines either. The Trudeau government is pushing hard to nationalize/socialize farmland, lumber and forestry, fisheries, oil production, pretty much any production of a natural resource, and mining is included in this.
Trudeau has seen his popularity chipping away, bit by bit, for years now. The "young, handsome, energetic, charismatic (did we mention handsome?) leader" that left-leaning Canadians were so eager to throw in with has just proved to be the face of one disaster after another. Nationalizing natural resources is turning into one of his regime's last big plays to try to consolidate and protect its power, but the protests against him have been effective enough that it's likely not going to work.

Things in Canada are going to get VERY nasty in the next ten years, but I do believe that the end result will be Trudeau gone and a nation on the mend.

Blackstone's and Starwood Capital's REITs have now limited shareholder withdrawals to less than 5% of account balance per quarter to try and staunch the stampede of investors out of commercial real estate. Put your money in, can't get it back out. And this is just the beginning. If you don't hold it, you don't own in. This includes mining stocks. it's not up to you to decide if it's "needless" or not. And the result is the same whether the dilution is needed or not.

The US socialized mining during WWI and II. Even now mining is so heavily regulated and taxed in the US that it's essentially a government partnership.

Im farming iqdelets and alike for their cash which i turn into precious metals that i post as collateral to get free bitcoins that iqdelet buys with his parents jewmoney hahahahah its so great. Funny because iqdelet recommends against owning metals, because owning physical metal is the wealth. He wants everyone to own nothing like he does and to pay a 6 gorillion % premium for an internet token so he can brag about it on an estonian coin exchanging forum. Sad for him but funny for us.

I bought a camry with gold, silver, and cash. Got a 4500 dollar (federal reserve note) discount and 5 free oil changes. Its the sport model and has about 300 hp. Though i dont think ive realized this as past 2,000 rpm its alrady hauling ass with the cvt transmission maintaining that rpm as it cycles through gear ratios. They really fear us using metals for commerce because of all the free bitcoin quantum drops we can theoretically get and crash their market. If maybe like 80 or so people began doing what i were doing. The value of bitcoin would go back to its real value.

Just quantum dropped a bitcoin by owning physical silver. Socmany unsuspecting peoplenare going to wake up and watch it go to its true value, about 1/2000th of a dollar, takes 10k bitcoins to buy a used pizza from little ceasars, usually they feel bad for you so they put on some expired pepperonis, the life iqdelet will face. He probably will be able to afford to smell the pizza but not even eat it hahaha meanwhile stackers, who generate free bitcoin with quantum airdrops will likely own that litlle ceasars.

LMAO you really can't make this shit up. Damn. This place is a stacker's worst nightmare. And nobody stands up for the real stackers here because they're scared af.

>> No.57916494

>>57916478
The stack is disorganized with no clear theme. Multiple types of coin and bar are present, with no seeming relation between them aside from the fact that all cost more than the cheapest of coins but none of them are particularly valuable. The stacker has neither committed to buying the cheapest possible metals nor to paying for some decent numismatics. Instead they stubbornly and slavishly went for the mediocre, the middle line, with every purchase.
Despite this the collection has relatively few oddball or unusual purchases. It is for the most part the work of a conformist that seeks to both fit in with instantly recognizable tropes, but also to subtly exceed in ways that will impress others without making them jealous or angry. The size of the collection also reflects this desire. It's a large pile, but certainly not the largest ever. Something others could aspire to and still admire the owner for amassing.

Overall I give it a 7/10 for its weight class as compared to other stacks. Messy, mediocre, but not at all bad for what it is. Not much thought put into it, but thinking isn't for everyone.

There'd have to be a very specific temperature, pressure, and fugacity that allowed the water to be injected into a vug without clogging up the fissure with crystals, but also to allow the dendrites to form without additional deposition of host rock crystals...

It seems like the physics of this could be calculated, and then gold bodies could be searched within a specific depositional band to increase the chances of finding specimens like that. Given their value it might be worth figuring out. Just one piece like that might be worth more than an entire year's production at a lot of small gold mines.

I didn't lose money by not buying crypto. Since BTC and ETH were invented I've made about $20,000,000 USD off an initial investment of $0. Pulling money out of my real business to gamble it on vaporware would have been tragically stupid.
