I use kraken altough it sucks on mobile imo, I heard it is the safest but has some minor issues time to time. I was here in previous bullrun but I couldn't partake since I was studying the market and literally had no money. Bitcoin will halve in a month so I hope it will dump a bit along with ath.

I tried binance but it's founder is having legal issues and it's future is uncertain, most here seem to have abandoned it. Sorry I can't really suggest anything else, kraken is good enough for me.
You might also want to get a hardware wallet if you want guaranteed security, I am not really afraid to lose 2k but if I make it to 5 figures I will get one.
There is a few things you might need to know if you are completely new but you can probably learn the stuff you need in couple hours.

You probably have to wait couple days to get verified. If it takes more time than it should than try contacting costumer support. I had issues too with kraken but costumer support fixed it for me.

I started using Gemini to trade, put 2k into bitcoin and then 250 into pepe to start. Won a sports bet and decided to sell the bitcoin to dump into pepe and throw the sports bet in to buy btc once it dropped a little, now my account is closed and everything is frozen; I don’t even think I’ll be able to sell it my pepe takes off.
