Boomers are so weird and stupid. Even if you give them a reputable place to buy stuff online they’ll eventually get cocky, wander off into the dark web and fall for a social security scam.

Dont laugh at me, but....

I sold all my Bitcoin for altcoins about 6 months ago and have only lost value in Bitcoin so far. I did this because last cycle I was 100% in Bitcoin only, and had to watch altcoins all go 10-50X more gains than my Bitcoin did....

Please dont tell me I got alts when the cycle is going to be a purely Bitcoin cycle......please dont fucking do this to me.....

huh thats weird. all they needed to do was to cash out from their etf, pay the income gains tax, transfer to their bank account, transfer to coinbase, transfer to a self custodial wallet, open up a website about unicorns, connect it to their wallet with all of their networth inside it, and then buy giglymeryfuckerschain, which solves the quantum crypto matrix of zeta-encrypted algorithms and the tangling of binary quasar oscillations
why aren't they doing that?

I was on a boomer forum regularly during the last bullrun. They had a massive running thread about Doge with 50-100 posts per day. They started grabbing huge bags of shib and safemoon after both mooned. They were literally buying shit at 10bil MC and thinking they'd catch a 100x off it lol. The cringe was off the charts with guys up 20x on doge considering themselves wise investors, telling people to just hodl and posting "tricks" like swinging doge with RSI lol. You have no idea how late many of them are to the party and how much disposable income some of them have to gamble with.

I'll start checking on them again after November for an exit indicator.

>> No.57872777

you've got your timing all fucked up anon. bitcoin pumps first, then everything else follows, like >>57872565 describes. start off with your money in bitcoin, then gradually hop across to alts as they start overtaking bitcoin towards the end of the cycle.

Because
1. People do believe they apply, making it a self fulfilling prophecy.
2. Whales and market makers want them to apply, because they care about the long term trust in the system they manipulate.
3. Later this year there will be decreased supply (halving) and increased demand (the top of the global liquidity cycle) so even the most basic Economic theory is bullish for BTC's price in 2024, regardless of psychology and potential manipulation.

It's not going to follow the same pattern this time because of the institutional money now. It will likely be several tops. He's right about boomers buying alts towards the end though. If you read David Hume's philosophy you will understand everything we do is based on assumptions.
As he said, there is no guarantee even the sun will actually come out tomorrow.
And he is right, we assume things.

Are things 100% proven to happen? No. Would I bet money on them? Yes. As he explained, even when certainty is an impossibility in epistemology, we are better off assuming some things rather than doubting when they so obviously present themselves to us.
Ultimately everyone buys and sells at the price they deserve.

>> No.57873003

>>57872954
Yes, but it's reasonable to assume that the sun has a very significant amount of time left, based on reliable, established science.

This market is anything but reasonable and scientific, it's the very definition of gambling.

The 3 points I listed are almost as certain to me as the certainty of the sun coming up tomorrow.
The amount of money I can get by betting on the fact that the cycle goes up this year vs betting on the fact that sun comes out tomorrow, is much higher than the difference in probability of them happening, because no one will give me money on the second bet.

So, I buy crypto.

Carefully - it's at all time high, it's not at all unlikely it'll fall for a while from where it is now. On the other hand it might resume charging into new price territory any day now, it's a very uncertain moment to be making that sort of decision. Hedge your bets, whatever you do.

Do whatever you like. I'm buying base tokens and rotating profits into bigger alts. I'm just gonna let Brian Armstrong and Larry Fink pump my bags for me this cycle. I'm not an influencer and am not interested in a 10x from Doge when there are alts with more potential. Axelar is my only "good tech" play besides link and ICP. Everything else is just riding the hype. Though, technically the aero and tarot I have on base are utility tokens. I don't plan to take any profits from those 2 til base network really blows up.

They follow BTC with a slight lag and slightly stronger swings now. ETH actually seems to perform a bit better, while SOL did a SOL with a fucking 100 plummet (did the network die at that moment?).
It's hilarious that BTC reversals literally work as a leading indicator for SOL now.

I wouldn't expect some crazy highs, but alts are nice for swing strategies while still predictable. Those fucking SOL flashes though.
