Because the real inflation rate for the past 15 or so years and thus price in equities has been higher than the official numbers. It went into overdrive in 2021 so now we're seeing some of the largest corpos in the world lose 70% of their value in one year and others go up 300% in one year. This is not healthy market behavior. This is insanity
