A few questions from a sophomore economics major:
1.) Are college classes involving stock trading a waste or time or a good investment (assuming I'm required to take 3 business courses of my choice)?
2.) Would I learn more useful information from real estate classes or trading classes?
3.) Is a concentration/minor in my direct field of interest (insurance) necessary if I have multiple internships in the field planned?

And finally a less personal question:
What is the next portion of the world to start investing in for profit? Are investors alone enough to develop any country (Bangladesh) or does it require government cooperation as well (Japan and the Asian Tigers)? Is South America a worthwhile area to invest in or is the market already becoming saturated?

Sorry if all of these questions are stupid/ have obvious answers. I've just got too many fields of interest to keep up with everything myself :(
